Are the housemates instructed not to talk about...

...previous housemates?

Most housemates tend to be fans of the show, but I never see them talking about previous shows or the housemates.

Is it some rule in there that they can't discuss, or am I just not paying enough attention?

That's a shame, it's such a big topic for BB fans.

I mean we spend hours talking about them lol

It's stupid how they can't talk about previous series/housemates

I remember in BB10 Charlie called Bex from BB9 a fat bitch

they did last year, not heard anyone mention previous hms yet this time, they did mention the garden and that some housemates were always outside last year (I think) briefly, that's about it. Early days though, they probably will at some point, speculation will be rife with the secrets and lies theme. I think the White Room will get a mention at some point.

Not sure about the Channel 5 series, but this is what the rules said on Channel 4:

Quote:

Discussing Previous Series’ of Big Brother

This series of Big Brother is a unique experience for the housemates. Big Brother will not refer to the previous series in any conversations with the housemates. It is against the rules to discuss the previous series, or refer to previous housemates from Big Brother, Celebrity Big Brother or Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack.

It is also strictly against the rules to discuss any members of the production team, the auditions or the chaperoning process.

What Matt said - they play bird noise over it, but if they continue to do it they'll get told off by Big Brother.

IMO, it's ******ing stupid - I understand perhaps the production team rule, because of privacy and all that, but the fact they can't talk about past series is a joke. I find it really interesting to hear them talk about it when they do.

Well in BB12 at least they probably weren't allowed to talk about it due to the fact that pervious series were ten times better.

They may mention Mario the Mole tonight!
