the ghastly drinks - would you have drunk them?

I have to say I was surprised when Gina drank them. I know I wouldn't have done.

There's taking 'one' for the team, and then there's the team taking advantage of the individual..for me, I think it's more the latter in this case, but what are the forums opinions.

would you have dared to drink them? and why?

joeysteele 27-06-2013 08:10 AM

I am a team player so yes I would have had a go at them certainly, would have hated every second though.

Daffodil 27-06-2013 08:16 AM

If I was very poor and facing a return to a council flat in London, yes I would.

Pink Pegasus 27-06-2013 08:19 AM

No I don't think I would have been able to. Even the thought of the eyeballs alone make me gag. I also don't think I would allow a leech to be put on me.(I know they didn't really put them on Dan).
I think they are one of the most disgusting creatures in the world.

You never know though, I would have to be feeling extremely desperate for the shopping budget or else in a very generous team spirit mood for me to even contemplate trying them.

GypsyGoth 27-06-2013 08:22 AM

I'd like to think I would even if it was revolting, especially if I was in Gina's position, and even with her heroic task I feel she still needs to integrate more with the group to survive.

And I agree about the leech, those things are completely gross, I guess I wouldn't have been able to do that task, especially with the rats.

fruit_cake 27-06-2013 08:25 AM

I honestly think some are more sensitive to these things than others, the smells and just seeing the things would have been enough for me to turn white and vomit I think, and omg the leeches :o

Josy 27-06-2013 08:29 AM

Nope.

I would have tried but I know I wouldn't have been able to do it

The eyeballs would be the main thing for me there but they were put in a blender, had I had to eat them whole then maybe I would have not been able to.

Dan's would have been harder to do although his screaming was both hilarious and a bit over the top.
Anything where I am blindfolded worries me greatly and the thought of that snake and spider being put on me where I couldn't see it would have likely had me screaming a bit too.
I am not 100% sure I could have seen his through to the end.

The cutting of the hair one, I wouldn't have been bothered about one but, it grows back anyway, that was easy.

Gina really did well especially with her fear too of being upside down which she permitted to be done and saw through to the end too.
Well done to her indeed.

Yeah I was hugely impressed with Gina, but not hugely shocked that she did it either though, because I find her a very strong character underneath all that 'princess' stereotype thing she has going on. I think she's pretty tough.

This task reminded me of the programme 'Fear Factor'. I used to always think that I'd love to compete in a show like that because I always found tasks 1 and 3 really scary but fun looking, but 2 was always eating something disgusting and even back then I always just thought, "no way, not a hope!"

GiRTh 27-06-2013 08:48 AM

Yes. They wont kill you, why not.

Sophster 27-06-2013 09:29 AM

The drink. Yes I would.
The animal task. I would probably do it, but I would scream even louder than Dan.
The hair task. Nope.

ThisIsNickkk 27-06-2013 09:33 AM

I'd have definitely tried the drinking challenge... But Gina did well with that because the likes of Jem wouldn't have done it.

The hair task... Not a cat in hell's change would I allow anyone to shave my hair off, so if it was between that and the house starving, they'd have had to starve... Period!

As for the animal task, I have a bit of a phobia when it comes to spiders, otherwise I'd have definitely given it a good go I think.

smeagol 27-06-2013 09:35 AM

the fish and dog food yea but not the eye balls goes against my principles.
and its pointless anyway

Vicky. 27-06-2013 09:36 AM

Definitely not, wouldnt have even tried. Have a massive phobia of vomit so I would never do anything that is likely to make me sick :S

Sophiee 27-06-2013 10:00 AM

I'd have given it a go, but I don't know how far I'd have got with it. it looked vile.

I agree with all you say above, I can also see what you mean as to Gina. agree.

BigBrotherfan4ever 27-06-2013 10:57 AM

I couldn't have done what Gina did , so I have huge respect for her, i can't even take dissolvable tablets.

Me neither..when I was about 10ish I had a bad ear infection and they gave me some dissolvey stuff and I refused to take it, my mum had to pin me down and syringe it down my throat :o

alex_front2 27-06-2013 11:44 AM

Funnily enough I thought Jack (he's the one who is infected isn't he?) and the hair shave was tougher. But Gina was brilliant.

EzzaB 27-06-2013 02:36 PM

Drink task - Probably would have given it a go
Animal Task - Hell no
Hair Shaving - BB can go **** themselves :)

Marcus. 27-06-2013 02:37 PM

yes i would
i would pull faces and hold my nose but i would do it

Visage 27-06-2013 05:02 PM

Yes, though I would likely be sick, I would do my very best to complete the task. I would look at it that 10 minutes of the crap kind is worth more in the end. Whether that be getting a luxury food budget or for my own personal gain in achieving such a sickly task.
