Is being/feeling fat relative?

RE: Last night's episode and Wolfy moaning about Charlie saying she feels fat.

What do you think?

I feel fat sometimes and I feel I've put on weight but I'm definitely not like Wolfy size.. but I feel fat and I don't like it because I believe it IS relative to everybody.

Just another example of Wolfy over exaggerating and being too emotional again?

Vicky. 30-06-2013 11:53 AM

She was just playing for sympathy again

Everyone has 'fat days'. Even extremely thin people.

anne666 30-06-2013 11:57 AM

FAT FAT FAT relative to how Fat your issue is with it and nothing else. She talks utter nonsense. No-one should be emotionally blackmailed into what they can and cannot say at such a trivial level. If she didn't have an issue this would not be an issue.

MatthewS 30-06-2013 11:58 AM

"Fat" isn't relative. It's either their or it isn't.

"Feeling Fat" can absolutely be relative though...

anne666 30-06-2013 11:58 AM

She is cruising for a bruising from the brutal crowd when she does come out and she really has asked for some of it.

sampvt 30-06-2013 11:59 AM

How can wolfy have a fat day, if she lost 10lbs it would be like taking £4 off the price of a new Jag. She is so messed up, she thinks being fat is someone else's fault. Like most obese people, they invent scenarios to quantify their own mistakes. There is no reason to be fat if it hurts.

Fatness is not relative, being fat is however.

That is absolutely correct. I think she picked on Charlie for using the word FAT because she knows she can't fight her own battles. She went on to tell the FAT twins to run fatties run in the insulting hide and seek nonsense. She is a TOTAL pain in my FAT arse.

Vicky. 30-06-2013 12:12 PM

Also its absolutely ****ing ridiculous to say that someone who has previously had an eating disorder doesnt know what its like to feel fat.

YodaBB 30-06-2013 12:12 PM

Charlie was just having a fat day, I don't understand why Wolfy went off on one.
In the diary room she was saying how she is so comfortable with her weight & it doesn't offend her. Then she completely contradicted herself by flying off the radar & saying how offensive the 'fat' word is :conf:

I don't think she heard a word Charlie was saying. She was only wanting public sympathy that the fat fairy had picked on her and what a difficult cross that is to bear. Then rammed in a HUGE sarnie to show the overwhelming power of the fairy.Take some responsibility for yourself love, you will grow so much more than FAT.

I did laugh when she was going mental at dan over eating half a sausage..saying that that half a sausage being gone now meant they didnt have anything to eat..then rammed a massive sandwich into her own mouth while he was arm flapping in the bedroom

It'll be interesting to see if Wolfy gets boo'd by the public the next chance they get. I'd be quite surprised if they're still chanting her name and applauding...

Shaun 30-06-2013 12:31 PM

I think "feeling fat" is confused for feeling bloated, or lethargic.

flamingGalah! 30-06-2013 12:32 PM

Wolfy is a pathetic, loud mouthed, fat bitch :nono:

She very clearly isn't comfortable being the size she is, otherwise she wouldn't have grabbed her big gut infront of Charlie & said 'You don't have to wake up with this every day!!'...

EVERYONE can feel fat, so of course it is relative. You do not have to be morbidly obese like Wolfy to be classed as "fat".

And Wolfy had the nerve to tell Charlie SHE was insecure! Hello, pots & kettles much! Nothing worse than an insecure fat person constantly bleating on about being 'happy the way they are' when in reality (like Wolfy) they very clearly are not...

I can guarantee they will be chanting . "Who ate all the pies" from Gimme Gimme Gimme. She will then go into life time therapy.

Yeah fair enough, I did mean 'feeling' fat. Should've said that

GiRTh 30-06-2013 01:09 PM

Fat is relative but Some people are naturally big so I can kind of see Wolfy's point of view. She went way over the top and the 'I'll let you apologise when I'm ready' attitude that she showed will do her no favours.

The Hm's seems to pick up on Charlies inappropriate comments quite a lot. Are they looking to start arguments with Charlie? I dont know just an observation but I would have thought they'd be a bit more used to Charlies speak first think later approach.

Not for me personally, I've put on weight recently and I do feel bigger.

I don't know at which weight you have to be to be deemed fat but I think in terms of people feeling heavier and seeing they've put on weight I definitely think that's something that applies to everybody. Same with weight loss! If you see you've lost weight on scales or less rolls then you feel good

lostalex 30-06-2013 01:10 PM

I think it is relative but at the same time, someone feeling bloated is not the same as being FAT.

It would be like a white person complaining... oh i'm so black, i've been tanning outside all day and my skin is sooo dark.

If you said that near a black person, i can understand that they might get offended.

If you you are moaning about it, it's basically saying that you think there is something wrong with it.

Same with being fat, if you are moaning about feeling fat, it makes it seem like you think there is something wrong or bad about being fat. so of course it would make the actual fat people in the room feel uncomfortable.

She is not naturally big at all. She has eaten WAY too much for quite some time to get to that size. There is no such thing as naturally obese.

A persons skin colour is not their own fault. Eating yourself to obesity is, and if it upsets her as much as she has more than clearly demonstrated get on a diet woman. She CAN help herself and maybe get some self respect.

you can bleach your skin, or go tanning to change your skin color. so yes, your skin tone is your choice.

The point is, it's nobody's business but your own what you do with your own body. You can look however you wanna look, and you shouldn't be insulting other people's bodies.

I totally agree with this. Some people are larger framed but nobody is naturally obese. Wolfy was being ridiculous and if she's so sensitive that she refers to "fat" as the forbidden "f word" then she should think about doing something about her own situation rather than kicking off at someone not obese feeling uncomfortable in their own skin. I'm naturally slim but I have fat days and can empathize with how Charlie was feeling.

Then by your logic, it's okay to be rude to anyone you like about how they look, because everyone has a choice about how they look. Do you think it's nice to be rude about how people look?

Maybe it shouldn't matter how people look, did that ever cross your mind?

Maybe you should be less concerned about outward appearances, did that ever cross your mind?

I wasn't saying it was anyone else's business and I am not insulting anyone else's body.
