Does Dan need to disassociate himself from Hazel?

Is the 'friendship' Dan has with Hazel detrimental to his chances?

I think she's latched on to someone she sees as likely to be popular with viewers, she's not at all sincere, has shown her true colours to Gina tonight when caught bitching with Wolfy in the toilet. He needs to integrate more with the rest of the housemates and form some bonds. She's not an asset, will bring him down.

Thoughts?

Jords 01-07-2013 12:40 AM

They are both attached to each other because theyre both bitches.

Calderyon 01-07-2013 12:40 AM

Itīs more like the other way around. Dan is bringing Hazel down with him.

GiRTh 01-07-2013 12:40 AM

She needs to distance herself from him.

Josy 01-07-2013 12:49 AM

I think Dan brings himself down

jet 01-07-2013 12:52 AM

No, I like the friendship that Dan and Hazel have.
I don't think Hazel has done anything wrong. I don't think her video should even have been brought up as there was nothing earth shattering about it and she was just defending herself.
Why didn't Gina confront them then and there? I think she might be a bit jealous of Hazel and wary of confronting her as she knows Hazel wouldn't take her nonsense.

Gina/Jackie/Wolfy all agreed not to say anything for a couple of days.

Dan doesn't stand a chance, making a strong friend (who isn't wolfy) might help him a little

You need a friend in their that will most of the time back you in a arguement.
He doesn't have that, Because have you noticed when ever dan has an arguement she just watches then smiles? Then after the arguement she goes on the fence? That isnt a strong friend. I dont know how dan hasnt realised it.
I still love hazel as shes beautiful and a nice girl, but if she doesn't be careful alot of them will turn on her quickly.

joeysteele 01-07-2013 08:32 AM

I like their closeness but I have just said on another thread that I worry a bit as I have seen so many early close connections between housemates cause massive problems when they turn on each other or if one does.
Mario with Ben,Scott with Arron and then a classic one but a one a while into the series, Bea with Freddie.

I cannot subscribe to the view that either Dan or Hazel is bringing the other down though,I see little to justifiably criticise in either of them that is my opinion of course, I just think they do at present have a good and close connection with each other.

My hope is that it continues because the fall out from it, should it break up, will have heavy consequences likely for Dan.

KingOfTheMods 01-07-2013 08:47 AM

No he should turn straight for a bit and smash her.

karezza 01-07-2013 08:52 AM

Jimmy Savile detective Dan Neal's paranoia is ruining his chances.

sampvt 01-07-2013 09:18 AM

Dan is trying to build alliances with everyone. Hazel is just using him as the strong male to hang onto so they both are heading for a fall quite soon when the flirting comes to a head. Sooner or later someone is going to acuse one of them of playing a game and the sh.i t will hit the fan if one comes out as the instigator of a gameplan.

Gillian-73 01-07-2013 09:20 AM

No I don't think so! His own paranoia is ruining his chances if anything.

joeysteele 01-07-2013 09:48 AM

They are all paranoid as to what's going on and who is saying what or what they really are though, not just Dan.

Kizzy 01-07-2013 09:53 AM

Hazel has a lot of influence in the house, wolfy crumbles like a wet cake every time they speak it's pathetic.
I actually want sophie and dan to make a bond, hazel is trying to use her feminine ways to control dan and for obvious reasons it's not working.

Patricia4 01-07-2013 10:17 AM

They are suited they are both bitches

joeysteele 01-07-2013 10:19 AM

I don't think there are any real bitches in this house that we've seen yet, unlike other BB series anyway.most of what they say about each other is at least the truth and not twisted from what was said originally.

I love it when allies/ friends turn on each other. It's often unexpected and completely changes the house dynamic and makes the show less predictable. The only time I've been sad when a BB friend has turned on another was when BB12 Harry turned a bit on Aaron but that was mainly post eviction.

Sophiee 01-07-2013 10:37 AM

I quite like their friendship together, but it may improve dan's chances in the long-run if he distanced himself from her.

Ellen 01-07-2013 10:40 AM

I think Dan needs to be careful, they get on well now but if he distances himself too much she may make things difficult for him.

Bitching? Haha. Gina took Hazel to task about a rather mundane VT she saw of her compared to the other housemates. She has been bad mouthing her and thinks she is fake. Hazel hasnt spoken badly about anyone much compared to what Dan has been 'bitching'. I love both of them but I think its the other way around when it comes to their friendship. I think Dan will bring Hazel down if the housemates see them in the same light which I hope they wont. Hazel doesnt need to latch onto anyone. She has a friend in Dan just like Callum and Daley are friends and Wolfy and Gina seem to be besties now
