Boys who have been blessed with the name Tom by their beloved mother and father.

Tomboy used to be a girl whose interests were more like those of boys.

For example, a girl who is an enthusiast for cars and football.

Not really. It's more about interests, behaviour and attitude rather than clothing.

Tomboy is more of a juvenile term, for girls who like climbing trees and playing in the mud rather than tea parties and Barbies. Ladette is the term for girls who are more like lads i.e they like drinking, shagging and kebabs.

Dated, sexist term for girls who like activities considered boyish, like playing sports (horrors!)
