Gina misrepresenting what Daley said..

I am FAR from Daleys biggest fan..but he never said he wouldnt want to see Dexter on the outside..they were talking about people losing contact after the show, and he said it wouldnt be like that with Dexter...

Did she do this deliberately in order to get Dexter on her side against Daley/Hazel? Or do you think she genuinely misheard/misunderstood? :suspect:

Tozzie 07-07-2013 10:52 PM

i think she may have misheard, so did I, I thought he said he wouldn't want to see him outside the house too

Brother Leon 07-07-2013 10:56 PM

Yeah, she got it wrong. Is a shame, because that was pretty much his only friend in there. He must of been gutted.

JTM45 07-07-2013 10:57 PM

I caught that too but then i convinced myself i'd misheard it.

Visage 07-07-2013 11:11 PM

Oh... I thought that's what he said, but I guess I misheard it too, or more that I took Gina's word that he said that.

fingers 07-07-2013 11:16 PM

I honestly think she misheard.

Thinking about it, I don't think she has a reason to make it up and then there's a matter of how much champagne she's had at this point, it's a wonder those two as still awake.

Withano 07-07-2013 11:22 PM

I understood it the same way as Gina did, I don't think she was deliberately being cruel and I'm still not convinced she was incorrect

Kate! 07-07-2013 11:25 PM

I caught that, actually thought I myself had misunderstood it because Gina was so full on about it, so I watched it back to check. Daley definitely meant he WOULD stay in touch with Dexter, but I can see it easily being misinterpreted. I don't think there was any malice from Gina, she got the wrong end of the stick.

fingers 07-07-2013 11:25 PM

She was wrong, but it was an honest mistake but a massive one that could have serious repercussions, which is another reason why she didn't do it deliberately, she has no reason to screw up the friendship between Daley and Dexter.

I thought that's what he said too.

Gillian-73 08-07-2013 12:29 AM

I think she misheard! I felt for Dexter he looked genuinely deflated by it.

Kizzy 08-07-2013 12:34 AM

I misheard too.... my opinion of dexter changes minute to minute, he is so annoying but can't help but feel for the guy :joker:

DanielLuis 08-07-2013 12:42 AM

I think she misheard it. I did so too, I thought that's what Daley meant.

karezza 08-07-2013 12:42 AM

Gina is a devil - it was probably deliberate.

Tom4784 08-07-2013 12:46 AM

He said it in quite a weird way iirc, I wouldn't blame anyone for misunderstanding him.

MatthewS 08-07-2013 12:56 AM

Watching it right now and Gina completely got that one all wrong. I actually think it was a genuine mistake on her part, as opposed to intentional, but Daley definitely meant to imply that he would be meeting up with Dexter on the outside. Shame.

alex_front2 08-07-2013 09:47 AM

I think it was an honest mistake. Gina quite likes Daley.

smeagol 08-07-2013 09:53 AM

i thought she got it wrong as well. sure he said he would see dex on the outside

R0B1S 08-07-2013 09:55 AM

She obviously got it wrong. That's a shame.
