Didn't Radiohead allow their fans to choose what they pay for their latest album? (or a few years ago or whatever..) or do I have the wrong artist

Well I suppose it's up to him. If he doesn't want to be a part of one of the more convenient and on ovation music streaming services available, then so be it. People will just pirate his music and he'll get absolutely nothing for it instead. :idc:

I'm fairly certain new artists are still doing well when it comes to money  probably moreso than artists 10/15 years old

Yes they did. And they did that cuz when Shawn Fanning invented Napster Radiohead were one the acts that benefitted the most from people downloading their tracks for free. I saw an interview with them once where they admitted that they would not be as successful if it was not for illegal downloads. Now I suppose he's a big enough artist and a big enough arsh*le that he's changed his mind.

Gramophone sales have really taken off after this announcement.

Shaun 15-07-2013 06:20 PM

eh, it's a fair complaint - Spotify pay nothing to the artists in general

I just like physically/digitally owning my own music, so I'd never use it
