was emma to soft
|
No - there's two sides to every story
|
Nearly 70% voted yes.
I would say not so much soft as diabolical. |
if scroll down theres some good best of bb videos actually if you fancy a trip down memory lane
|
Yes. Now I;ve seen the lead up to the incident, Daley was out of control long before Hazel even came into the bedroom. The show cannot condone Daley behavior given the footage.
|
Absolutely. Trying to shift blame on to Hazel as well as if she wanted to be grabbed round the neck and as if she wanted to be told that she would get "nutted one" and she'll get "finished"
He barely deserved an interview, let alone respect, let alone the truck load of remorse. |
No she wasn't, she was emphasising there is two sides to a story,
Daley apologised for his actions, which i don't condone, but Emma like most sane minded people seen it for what it was and imo was allowing Daley his right to reply without demonising him!! |
The interview made it sound like he had been kicked out of the house for cheating.
His "apology" was so general as to be meaningless. And his only mention of hazel, the person he was kicked out for threatening, was a picture of pure hate. A total white wash. Just a vehicle for getting some daley sympathy and hazel blame. |

Rewatching it, it really is awful. The worst part isn't even the "two to tango" comment which has (pathetically) been backtracked on, with them now claiming she meant with the flirting. Which is utter nonsense. She quite clearly meant that they were both responsible for the situation getting out of hand in the safe house.
No, the worst part for me is this: "Hazel was willing to flirt till her heart was content". That comment is really loaded with blame... she might as well have said "She was being a slag so she was asking for it". Which is what a lot of people seem to think. I think Emma really revealed her own thoughts with that comment... most of the interview was clearly lead / staged but the exact phrasing won't have been scripted for her, and the way she's said it reveals a lot, I think she showed blatant bias. She didn't need to rip into him and vilify him, she just needed to be balanced, and she wasn't... she outright gave 50/50 "blame" to Hazel and allowed him to blame her and practically spit out her name without even commenting on the look on his face. It's a shame because I really liked her as a presenter up until now... and there's a massive question mark over her now, for me. And that aside she showed her inexperience by not even asking the right questions - even if she WANTED to show him in a "redeeming" light she should have asked things like "Was it just that you were still playing and took the game to another level, but possibly she didn't realise your intentions and got scared?". He'd probably have been like "Hmm yeah... maybe it is that" because I personally think that's exactly what happened. Doesn't excuse him because you don't engage in that sort of "rough play" without being 100% sure that the other person knows the score and is OK with it / enjoys it. He didn't know, she wasn't OK, and he scared her. Completely his fault. The lead up to it / other flirting that went on is totally irrelevant. |
Yes the interview was to soft. Daley apologised for if he caused an offense, there is no if about it, is is completely unacceptable to grab a woman by her throat, pin her to the bed and threaten to nut her, Do you understand this Daley? Is what should have been said. I think the conversation went the way it did because Daley had been advised by his PR as what to say, he was emotionally upset and his partner was in the vicinity, and BB were feeing responsible for the fall out because they had set the scene for where the incident took place, making Daley and Hazel an option for the safe house after interviewing Katie.. With no one willing to be honest about where they went wrong and the impact it had you was never going to get a worthwhile interview. Theres too much money to be made in spin off's and tabloids to care about "right and wrong."

I think at the point of the Emma Willis interview, all he was going on was Big Brother telling him that Hazel had said she felt threatened, and he got completely the wrong end of the stick there - he thought they were saying she specifically went and complained about him to get him kicked out, so he was pissed off about that. When in reality, they called her and ASKED if she had felt intimidated, and she was honest and said "yes". I don't think she expected him to be kicked out or wanted him to be kicked out, just that saying "no" would have been an outright lie. Plus he was clearly blaming her for "tempting him away" and ruining his relationship with his girlfriend... regardless of the safehouse incident. Which I do think is utterly pathetic. Only a very weak person would blame someone else for their own unfaithfulness. It's not that difficult. All you have to say is "no, I have someone who I love, I'm not interested". It's frankly insulting to other men to suggest that we're somehow "powerless" against the advances of women. |
I said before I even saw the interview that Emma wasn't the right person for the job.
If this has an impact on her career, I'll bet Rylan and AJ are salivating at the thought of becoming main presenter! ;) |

That was his "apology". But it isn't an actual apology, if you look at it. What he's really saying is "I don't think I'm in the wrong, but I'm sorry that OTHERS took it the WRONG way". He's not only passing the blame onto Hazel, but also onto anyone who viewed it and thought it wasn't acceptable. He's not apologising, he's just stating "you are wrong about me". |
I always thought Emma was great at her job and was delighted she got the job this year even though Brian was good also. Last night I sat there totally and utterly dumbfounded when Emma was saying it takes two they shouldnt be biased there was another person Hazel to blame for things spiralling out of control. Presenters should be totally unbiased and her job was to interview a guy who had threatened a woman. She should have kept her mouth shut about her opinions and let the people decide. Daley could NOT even bring himself to speak about Hazel and his look showed that he thought she was clearly to blame for everything. What a creep and I sincerely hope Emma has read some of the comments the general public made about her absolutely disgraceful interview. Shame on you Emma. Even bloody AJ is better !!!!!!!

If Daley had of been a **** in the interview, then she would of been harsher in the questions.
But he wasn't. He took it on the chin and apologized. What the hell do you people want her to do? |

Even good ol' Davina would have handled the interview much more skillfully, and she's not the greatest interviewer in the world. Can you imagine Daley in a proper interview with a big name interviewer? He'd crumble like wet tissue paper. |
He soooooooooo didnt take it on the bloody chin. It was all a bloody act and what the HELL was his girfriend thinking of coming alont to SUPPORT him. I believe she has a young child. If I were her I would run a mile from that arrogant violent man and keep her little child safe. She came across so well in her interview a few weeks ago and I felt so sorry for her at what had happened in the house. She said she was probably going to move away with her child. Surely surely she cant condone what that pig did!!!!!!
|
Daley and Emma had both been prepared by their respective "sides".
Emma was in a no win situation really. |

I used to really admire Emma, I don't any more.

Who that?

I don't think he should have been given an interview at all. He's said all he wanted to say in the newspaper. I say "newspaper"... you know what I mean.

Well Emma certainly dismissed the criticism of her on BOTS.
