If You Won £2m..

If you had £2 million and had to buy a house anywhere in the world, which one would you buy?

Must be within budget :)

CaudleHalbard 20-07-2013 09:34 AM

I would actually buy more than one property. Rent one out and live in the other. :)

Probably stay in SE England, add that's where all my friends and relations live.

Orlando, Florida because Disney World and Universal Studios and beautiful weather.

Lee. 20-07-2013 09:50 AM

I'm actually perfectly happy with my current home and car.

I'd blow the money on high-living.... with Dexter by my side as an adviser!! :D

........sorry - that's not the answer you wanted was it? :p ;)

Kate! 20-07-2013 09:52 AM

Definitely somewhere sunny, preferably a beach house. I'll find an actual one later and post it.

Yes, I was looking for one I actually stayed in when we went to florida. We rented a place for a week because it was cheaper than getting a hotel or something. Was a 5 bed semidetatched with its own pool..and was bloody lovely, and they were only 300 grand to buy. I remember my dad being extremely tempted to buy one but he said they couldnt move there as apparently you cant move to america if you dont have a job lined up..

Florida is a place you retire to. Very high proportion of people are 70+

Lee. 20-07-2013 10:07 AM

Something cheapish, detached, in the midlands area but in like a small village or something, quite big but not too big like a mansion

Then an apartment in London or New York to rent out as a holiday/business apartment and then use when I want
