How'd you describe your music taste?
 

Everybody I seem to ask about what music they're into, normally reply saying a bit of everything. As someone who pretty much exclusively listens to just one genre (not that I dislike others), I feel like I'm in a small minority :/

So TiBB, what music are you into?

I'd describe my taste in music as flawless.

I think itd get pretty bland to only appreciate one genre of music.

My favourites genres are indie, electronic and chart music.

I like a bit of hip hop but not too much, I find it quite samey. I like some rock, moreso old classics (e.g. It's My Life), some R&B, dubstep, folk...

So Id say the third option of the poll.

My taste is fabulous. I hate ****e and love good music.

a couple of genres: Hip Hop, alternative rock, industrial, light heavy metal, old country

Everything except most RNB/Pop/Chart stuff, mainly all the different types of rock and metal

Don't think I need to point out which genre I mainly listen to...

It's not that I don't like other genres, I listen to all sorts really. I'm just heavily invested in hip hop and as such it makes up for 90% of what I listen to.

Can see why it might seem boring, but honestly there's so many sub genres to hip hop (as there is for any genre I can imagine), there's so many different styles about it never gets dull. Look at Kanye's discography alone; CD/LR, Grad, 808s, MBDTF, Yeezus - all very different sounding albums, just from one artist.

I used to listen to a bit everything really, but I'm enjoying music so much more now I'm focusing on one genre - there's so many artist you miss out on when you just casually follow a genre. As contradictory as it seems, I have more music to look forward to than ever right now.

I go through phases as well were I will just listen to one type of music for a few months and then move on to another one

I tend to listen to softer music, rock, indie, pop-ish when I'm on my own at home relaxing, even more melodic music when I'm trying to get to sleep, hip hop when I'm exercising/walking/going somewhere/travelling

I'm into most genres, I think it would be easier to name what genre I don't listen to.

Hardcore Pirate Metal
ahno, general rock and hip hop

synthpop, electronica, kpop/jpop, witch house :love: but loads of other stuff too that are similar sounding.

I like all types of music so everything really.

I only have one type of music I am not keen on and that is rap,even some of that I can enjoy though too.

I like some music from most genres, even classical (I like the Planet Suite but not really anything else from this genre) I love dance music especially.

I like a mix but mainly rock (anywhere ranging from indie pop to alternative metal). I suppose I'm a fan of quite some metal but Slipknot/Breaking Benjamin is literally the heaviest my ears can take in.

Also like rap, so Tupac/Eminem/Professor Green, I guess.

Eclectic

It's changed a good bit over the last few years. The majority of the stuff I listen to now is Alternative and Indie type songs. I used to listen to far more Rock.

It makes me giggle when people say they "like good music". Bitch who aims for liking crappy music?

I do seem to be exclusive to rock/indie music, but will listen to like at least one or two artists from a different genre, like I like Kendrick Lamar and stuff.

Pop and light rock. That's about it. Odd other songs from other genres take my fancy.
