Jo Hemmings - TV Psychologist - Her view on Callum
She tweeted this last night.
No surprise that Callum has befriended the youngest/most vulnerable HM in Sam. He needs to be needed and no-one else is buying into it. Very interesting observation there. But i do like Sam and Callum friendship. |

He's got sociopathic tendencies if I've ever seen it... and I--my friend--am a pretty good judge of character. :xyxwave: |
A comment on DS :
Not sure about the needs to be needed bit, he strikes me more as someone who has had to look after someone (parents perhaps?) and doesn't know how to switch off. The repeating of things, the fact that he has to fill silence. reminded me of looking after someone infirm when you're the only carer. |

callum is a predator praying on the weak and vunerable , glad she said that as its obvious to me

I believe it's genuine on Sam's part because he's young and naive. I think Callum is being opportunistic. That's not to say that there's NO WAY Callum is being genuine in his friendship... I just find it highly unlikely... lol. |

Some people would believe the moon is made out of cheese if it suited their purpose or a psychologist said it,pfft.

And it doesn't hurt that the psychologist is actually right in this scenario.. :joker::xyxwave::dance: |
Creepster Callum is 100% calculating. Everything he says and does is calculated.
Sam is part of his gameplan. Charlie is part of his gameplan. |
Sam is not the youngest HM nor is he the most vunerable.
Just because Sam has hearing problems does not mean he cannot decide who he wants to befriend & who he likes. There has been plenty of times when he has disagreed with Callum & sometimes told him to grow a pair! |

Jo Hemmings. You are having a bloody laugh, think Dr Funke and the asparagus woman, Jo Hemmings is somewhere in the middle. Mind you, if you are looking for a date she is your woman.:joker::joker::joker:

The rest of the Hm's cant be arsed having a conversation with Sam because it is too much hard work for them, and if you mainly ignore someone you will think them dull & bland. He has found someone who will give him the time of day & who will include him in conversations. I personally think it is a genuine friendship on both parts. |

I think if Callum distanced himself from Charlie he could do very well. The showmance is ruining his chances i think.

I thought Sam was 24?he doesn't seem stupid either. It's a nice friendship they have

To begin with, Dexter is clearly more into himself than anyone else, male or female. Then there's Charlie who has stated multiple times that she is not into Dexter 'that way'. And Callum gets a bad rap. He's always just seems a bit playful with Charlie. Let's get real for a minute... Charlie was brought on the show as half of a mother/daughter gimmick. On her own she's a bit dull and her "connection" to Dexter seems more like a means of not fading to the back of the house now that her mom's out and Callum is eternally at risk for eviction. I feel like he's actually playing the "Dexter" game SO MUCH BETTER THAN DEXTER because he doesn't have that insecure, validation-seeking streak to suppress at every turn which always seems to come out in everything Dexter does. Ugh. This show is addictive. :D |
