Callum Crying After Sam Conversation.

Alot of people where saying callum was over exaggerating with hes crying with the faning of the eyes and also like the different faces etc. but he has contact lenses. Ask anyone with contact lenses when you cry its best not to rub your eyes etc. and also it can make you do funny stuff with your faces aswell lool.
So ye just wanted to clear that up. But I know some people will disagree then world war 3 will commence. But im ready :thumbs2:

Looked a bit contrived to me. But who knows?

the words "so sad" didn't really make sense to me....it wasn't sad , it was emotional more because sam was being so genuine and brave in overcoming his hearing problems....sad isn't really the word....if you see a disabled swimmer overcome adversity you don't say so sad.....you may wipe back a tear but its more awesome than sad

I think sad was used in the terms of its sad that Sam felt that his HM's spoke over him & didnt include him because he is hard of hearing.

just a weird choice of word at that moment and weird how he choose to say it out loud.....also weird was the fact he pulled more faces than 2 face in batman

Eh I wear contacts and it doesn't make me do 'funny things' with my face, have never really felt the need to ridiculously fan my eyes either

Vicky. 25-07-2013 12:23 PM

I didnt know he wore contacts..

I also think its unfair to say it was contrived. Must be hard hearing your mate as upset as Sam seemed

The fanning his face thing was funny though, but only because I have only ever seen girls do that before

the truth 25-07-2013 12:26 PM

I know women cry to manipulate situations all the time, its unusual to see a bloke do it, but we are in the age of the so called metrosexual

CaudleHalbard 25-07-2013 12:28 PM

I think it was part genuine.

The fanning the face bit was funny. :D

Slevin 25-07-2013 01:51 PM

i dont get why people even fan their faces when they are about to cry. its pretty funny and i dont think it works. lol

Ellen 25-07-2013 01:59 PM

Fanning your eyes is to try & dry the moisture.
Some women do it so they wont smudge their make up.
I suspect Callum did it because he wears contacts.
It did look funny but i have known one or two men to do that.

bez87 25-07-2013 02:09 PM

i honestly believe that was genuine, i mean sam is his best mate in the house, Callum and the rest of us have seen it time and time again, where he gets left out and no one bothers with him, we all know this because of sophie's talk with dan about wanting to be in the safe house with someone more fun i mean she ain't even gave the lad a chance she is deluded she probably doesn't even realise about him being deaf and actually what it means. they all blame him. and Sams talk with Callum must of hit Callum hard because he probably has been thinking it and then when Sam actually comes out and says it, quite emotional. i really do feel for sam, i mean all the house mates bar sam and callum are in it for themselves, and very much up their own a**es.

Spoon 25-07-2013 03:49 PM

I wear contacts and I can cry without them falling out or getting twisted up, but maybe it's very humid in the house and he was worried about extra moisture. Or he has allergies and his eyes were already irritated. The gesturing was a bit much as was the need to narrate his emotions (clearly he wanted that entire segment, including his breakdown, fake/exagerrated or not, to be broadcast). In any case, I do think he really loves Sam and genuinely feels sad about his troubles in the house.

Verbal 25-07-2013 03:52 PM

The fanning his eyes was just a complete effeminate thing to do, which I wasn't expecting. Made me like him more I havent laughed so much this whole series.

The fact that he does these things, is being totally dry and not even trying to be funny with it is comedy genius.

You could stick 5 pairs of contacts in my eyes, then stab me with a hot poker and I still wouldnt fan my eyes.

“@BBUKLive: 3.20pm: Cal isn't feeling his happy-chappy-self, so Jack is giving him a hug to cheer him up. #bbuklive”

Well, who would be cheered up by a hug from Jack? BB will give them a party or something to boost his mood.
