Crumpets Appreciation
 

Maybe I've just never had good crumpets before but I thought they were dry, vaguely unpleasant and extremely overrated.

I'm going food shopping after work and I'm buying a variety of cheese, crumpets and butter thanks to these bloody threads. I will have to spend the whole of next week at the gym. Damn you all...

They are alright but I prefer Scotch Pancakes tbh

they're totally different, they're thicker, smaller, fluffier, buttery, really sweet... mmmmm they're so good!

Scotch pancakes have a texture more like a sponge cake than regular pancakes

Man I love a good crumpet.


Anybody ever had a Staffordshire oatcake? We get them in our Tesco's down in Sheffield and they are beautiful toasted with some butter on top or folded over with cheese.

I love crumpets, great with jam on them. A fulling snack.

only had them with butter on them, putting anything else on them seems alien to me
