Selection Process
 

When does the selection process begin? I don't mean the auditions because some of them seem to get a free pass.
Take Gina and Dexter for example, both of their backstories began to be fabricated last December and yet Channel 5/Big Brother appear totally unaware that both of their made up lives are just a figment of some PR company's imagination and one of them may even end up collecting the Jackpot (if they haven't already agreed to split it!)
That would be a travesty, that much money is more than they have ever seen before! :devil:

The one thing it seems to be a nono to talk about on BOTS is the fakeness of Gina and Dexter's backgrounds.

Last night when Tina Malone started saying of Gina: "But is she actually rich.....", Emma quickly moved onto something else. Hmm.

There wouldn't be a hint of collusion, now, would there? Perish the thought!

Noticed the exact same thing, BB must know she isn't rich.

It seems to be common knowledge that Gina is a wannabe actress and TV presenter and Dexter is a wannabe Max Clifford but is only a paparazzo working out of his house near Liverpool.
Common knowledge, but not as far as Channel 5 can see.

For now I'll give C5/BB the benefit of the doubt and suggest they discovered the deception AFTER Gina and Dexter went into the house.

It will, as discussed on other threads, not be first time someone has faked their background to get into the house. BB's track record suggests it is something they will never, ever, comment on and will maintain their initial description of the housemate etc.

Why this is I'm not sure. Could be a combination of legal and humiliation reasons! ;)
