Will Callum regret coming on Big Brother?

Every time I think things cannot get much worse for Callum they do. Last night he was acting like he was so upset about Dan's departure. Does he really not know that Dan cannot stand him? His obsession with Charlie it is all so embarrassing. Is Callum going to look back on his experience on the show and think that he made a complete fool of himself?

By the way I don't dislike Callum I just feel that he has made himself look like an idiot pretty much on a daily basis. :bawling:

I think only he can truly answer that question.

He may feel he acted a little overzealously regarding Charlie and Dexter but then again he could come out of it feeling it was fair game we don't know.

The trouble is - Things don't get worse for Callum , Callum makes things worse for himself !

I think he will watch his behaviour and even he will feel creeped out by it - even his own housemates are, never mind the viewers !

He just carries on regardless of anyone else with his fruitless pursual of Charlie knowingly chatting to himself (for the cameras & air time) its got to the point of ridiculous now and he needs to stop acting like Charlies pet poodle and grow a set !!
Even then i doubt he can change opinions people have already formed

That he his a really weird guy :conf:

Do we know whether Callum was actually employed as a teacher, or is this an aspiration?

Yeah he actually was. One of the most endearing things I read on callums Facebook page was a mother commenting, 'My son cried when he saw Mr.Knell on TV because he wouldn't have him as a teacher anymore.' I really believe this experience won't jeopardize his career either, despite what the awful Jackie Travers claims, as Callum has been nothing but a gentleman this series, and can only be proud of himself. I kind of look up to him as a role model now and I think any kid who'd have him as their teacher would be incredibly lucky. :)

Would you want him anywhere near your kids?

His attitude stinks ! :nono:

Kris 27-07-2013 05:03 PM

I agree that Callum has acted like a gentleman throughout. He has gotten a bad rap from the very start for being (of all things) too nice. Rubbish. Everything that he takes sh*t for is dreamt up by the lynch mob. If he so much as does the washing up without moaning about he is wrong.

His attitude is fine, it's the lynch mob who attitude stinks.

actor99 27-07-2013 05:07 PM

He don't know that Dan didn't like him. well maybe at the start. shows his loyalty to someone. as he does to Sam. granted he can go over the top when he's talking. that he needs to work on. As for how he expresses himself. well that's who he is.

Kyle 27-07-2013 05:09 PM

It's all rather simple really, he has pissed off a certain housemate who is supported by certain people on here who have decided to verbally assassinate the guy because he is against their favourite housemate.

actor99 27-07-2013 05:11 PM

I would love for some of the people he saved. to be on BBBOTS. or something. I would like to know more about this. well something about it anyway.

smeagol 27-07-2013 05:11 PM

he should be ashamed of himself for being on tv and being a bitter nasty creepy jealous stalker and grooming sam to be a hair sniffer.
he will regret it for sure, i wouldn't employ him to walk my dog - if i had a dog lol

I think the knives have been out for Callum from many since he nominated Dan in the face to face vote. However in my eyes he is definitely doing and saying things to humiliate himself in that house. If Callum was someone I knew I would be very embarrassed and concerned for him. :spin:

Patrick 27-07-2013 05:18 PM

No, because he will win.

Im_Juz_ChiLLin 27-07-2013 06:01 PM

He has embarrassed himself to beyond humiliation and i think he will come out to no reception because no one will care about Creepster Callum once he is evicted of the Big Brother House, he can soar himself out of my tv screen forever !!!

joeysteele 27-07-2013 06:08 PM

I don't see why he needs to regret going on, he is now through to the end of the 7th week at least, he survived an eviction by being saved first.
He has survived at least 2 to 3 eviction in total,he has found a good new friend in Sam.

The negatives are that he fell into a romance triangle thing, has had a fair bit himself to put up with in there.
He has though, ridden the storms so far, he has good and bad about him like most housemates and if he was now to just settle down, throw out the romance nonsense, avoid Dexter then could get the chance to show far more of his fun side.

A fun side to him which for some reason, BB don't seem to want to show in the highlights each night.

I agree.
How would he know Dan disliked him, Dan, after all moaned and had his hissy fit in front of the others, not Callum.

As to Charlie, he likes her, she responds and cuddles him, Dexter however likes her ( or should i say pretends to) but she is colder with him and tells him she does not trust him, yet Callum is a stalker..give me a break.

Dexters my favourite but I wouldn't say I have assassinated Callum, perhaps played pop about him but assassinate? naaaaa. To be fair whoever your favourite housemate is if another housemate displays hatred toward them they are going to be annoyed and want to defend them, I guess thats understandable.

Sophster 27-07-2013 07:00 PM

Callum would not survive in a secondary school after the strip :P
Someone would find a youtube clip and it would spread like wildfire.

Actually, I can imagine him being an excellent teacher.

I do wonder if some of his exaggerated facial expressions and so on come from working with young children.

brianna_jones 27-07-2013 07:15 PM

He put the nail in the proverbial coffin as far as teaching goes when he did the striptease!

King Sing 27-07-2013 07:22 PM

Callum is a badass. I think all guys should be a little more like him.

This, and Dan's initial annoyance at being nominated by him are what did for Callum.

The makers of the programme package what we see. The BOTS team also play a part. They consistently introduce Callum with words like 'creepy' or 'cringy'. Look at what they showed in the dancing analysis. Did they analyse how he danced with Charlie when they were all relaxed and partying? No. They showed the bit where he and Sam were larking about and dancing in a ridiculous manner. They were so clearly having a laugh with each other and not taking it seriously. yet that was what was taken to represent his character.

Over and over again they have talked about him in a negative way (at times I have wondered if I was watching the same show as they were).

This packaging has an effect on how we view the housemates. They do it every year: they pick out a narrative and go with it. They then mold what they show to reflect that narrative.

Within the house, Callum drew the ire of a powerful opinion former when he nominated Dan on the basis that they just hadn't connected as much as with other housemates (seems a valid reason to me). From that point on Dan was gunning for him.

The whole thing with Charlie meanwhile has been made to look like a creepshow. In fact, during the first week they were getting on like the proverbial house on fire. Only after the VT's were shown did that falter. From that point on, Jackie was gunning for him and did her level best to put Charlie off him completely. Since she was the one he had been closest to, any attempt by him to retain that closeness has been read as creepy. Meanwhile, Dexter, who had no interest in Charlie whatsoever until the Hazel-Daley thing, managed to charm his way into Jackie's good graces, despite having said far worse things in his VT than Callum did.

Dan and Jackie between them have turned the entire house against Callum. You can tell, by the way they repeat phrases first used by Dan.

From the VT onwards he was on the back foot. Little wonder he retreated behind a 'character' wall. I think I probably would too, if everybody around me was making it clear that I was not welcome.

The only two people who haven't bought into the anti-Callum narrative are Sam and Gina.
