The Dreaded Letters from home

Hate this part of the series :bored: Anyone else with me? It just bores me.

Ramsay 28-07-2013 06:06 PM

i like when some get them and some others don't...when they all get them its just a sad wee lovefest

Jemal 28-07-2013 06:07 PM

Never thought i would see callum cry. Hes a bloody soft man. He started crying because SAMs mum said he liked their friendship:laugh2:

Aye I agree with this - but then Big Brother always gives in and feels sorry for the housemates who don't get them, so it's stupid.

If I were BB, I'd give a letter to one housemate and then burn the rest in the garden. Just for a laugh.

Its too short it should be 13 weeks and to hell with the people that used to moan it was too long at 13 weeks.
letters dont mean a damn at 6 weeks or whatever it is especially when most of them saw the people writing them a week ago.

The letters can be moving at about week 11 when they havent seen any loved ones for so long but with chav 5 they might as well have them in the house with them the family are either housemates, voting or sending them letters every few days.

armand.kay 28-07-2013 06:09 PM

No I hate them.

armand.kay 28-07-2013 06:15 PM

I'm probably a heartless child but a letter from home would really not make a difference to me if I was in there. I remember when I went on a trip for 3 weeks my family wrote me some card really didn't affect me. Its not that I don't love them I just seem to be immune from missing people :/

Gstar 28-07-2013 06:22 PM

^ you're a heartless child. :)

The letters from home always gets me teary eyed. BB7s :'(

Withano 28-07-2013 06:23 PM

why would that make him cry do you think?

CaudleHalbard 28-07-2013 06:28 PM

If only the letters reflected the family's TRUE feelings. e.g.:

"Your behaviour in the Big Brother house has had the following consequences:

- Dad has to wear a motorcycle helmet when he goes out
- Mum and sister Becky have left the country temporarily
- Granny weeps uncontrollably - it's annoying other care home residents
- Your dog Fido has run off

Don't hurry back!

Lots of love and kisses from your family"

I wouldn't cry because my best mates mum said she liked our friendship. I'd be really happy to hear it but cry? it does seem a little bit OTT to me.

Mine would probably say 'shut up and stop arguing' lol

Daffodil 28-07-2013 06:32 PM

Callum's crying is tears of joy that his plan is working. Sorry to be so cynical.

When your in that environment. And you make friends, and you didnt know what your friends parent thought about you, to then hear she likes your friendship 'and he can come back to (SAMs hometown, forgot the name) anytime' that will touch you.

I agree, far too much 'family participation' in this series, what with the twins parents, Dexters mum etc

they should not see anyone from outside, that was the original experiment, this is no longer an experiment, just a reality show

Yeah, thats what I meant when I said, I'd be really happy to hear it, still not quite sure I'd cry though tbh, oh well, thanks for your input Had, I was curious as to why people thought he would cry.

CaudleHalbard 28-07-2013 06:36 PM

It stopped being an experiment a long time ago.

Now it has to compete with I'm A Celeb, TOWIE, Made in Chelsea and all the others/

daniel-lewis-1985 28-07-2013 06:37 PM

I wouldn't usually mind but these days they slap a big sloppy ballad over the edit.
