Anyone feel sorry for Sam when he was talking to Dexter?
"Whenever I ask you to explain things to me because I didn't hear you ignore me"
Or words to that effect. I really want him to win, he's so sweet and I think genuine. |
He is a nasty little boy.
|
Dexter is a fool. And self centred and only thinks about impressing the women in the house to get headlines and mag deals on the outside. Im proud that sam finally gave him a piece of his mind.
|
Sam is largely Callum's poodle.
I'll bet most of the rest of the HMs ignore Sam as well. But as it's Dexter, it is an "issue". |
yeah lets feel sorry for the deaf dude he should win as he cant hear people
bless him he will win anyway we all know it. zzz |
Couldn't care less.
|
Yup. But then again the only ones who actually take time to speak to Sam properly are Gina and Callum.
I also felt sorry for him on eviction night, when he couldn't hear Emma and didn't know what was going on. I agree with the twins that they should have her subtitled on the TV or something. If they put a deaf person in there, they should make the suitable adaptations. |
sad that people cant recognise genuine....a very touching moment. be interesting to see if dexy and him get on better after this....dexy is a great housemate to watch, but probably could be irritating to live with when hes ignoring people like that....im a big fan of both these guys, totally different characters but I like them in totally different ways

I did not feel sorry for him as such. He will come across it a lot in life.
My husband has the same problem, but it says more about the people ignoring him. Showed Dexter up I think. |
They are all contestants on a tv show and enter the house as equals. They also know the rules and how the show works. Why should anyone expect to be treated differently than any other housemate. If anything Sam would not want to be treated differently. If Sam felt that he was being ignored ( which i am sure he has felt on the outside and DEALT with by speaking to the person in question) it is down to Sam to make sure others are aware of his situation, people are not mind readers. Sam has spent weeks perfecting flying under the radar, he just tucked himself under his duvet and dreamt of a cruise to the BB final.

I'll be happy for Sam to win, nice guy,I like nice people.

I did and Dexter had no answer at all that was convincing as to it.
I agree, it was shocking that on the twist last friday too, they insensitively played the noise of the crowd into the house, you had Emma rushing through the twist and also who was up for eviction, to Sam it must have been a rumbling, jumbled noise. Pathetic. As to his chat with Dexter, I was stunned that when pointing out where he thought Dexter had been rude, Dexter made a shielded attempt to sidestep that by saying I haven't been rude directly to you though. Sam was saying the man was rude and bad mannered, full stop, Sam was spot on. Dexter, ''I've had a lot of things on my mind'', like what, the Charlie triangle,no excuse for bad manners whatsover and none for being so insensitive to Sam by not taking notice of him when he speaks and just ignoring him. If I had not already virtually done so, as to going off Dexter, after that chat with Sam, I for sure would have. Sam told him like it is, he didn't like that Sam had exposed that side of him too. |
I'm not sure what to make of this really. It seems that he nominated Dexter because he occasionally doesn't say thank you when the door is held open for him. Is that really the worst thing ever? I get that maybe its a little rude, but I mean, do you really require a 'thank you' every single time you hold the door open for someone?
I wonder if Callum was never a housemate, and didn't enter the house, if Sam and Dexter would have a more positive relationship. I really think that a lot of the negativity Sam has for Dexter is because of his relationship with Callum. On contrast, I don't think Dexter has any negativity towards Sam at all, even though him and Callum are best friends apparently. |

He goes to bed and then expects people (Dexter) to explain - when Dexter has been told not to speak about it ! I'm fed up with people making excuses for Sam - he has only ever been half a HM and he has never bothered to get involved and when he does he ain't got a clue of whats going on !Sorry but don't go in if ya can't deal with or keep up with whats happening |

And what, Callum isn't trying to get airtime? Are you forgetting that, he is the one that PRETENDS to be drunk, and talks to himself? |

I dont like Dexter and he is probably the worst, as Sam said, but pretty much everyone has been like that with Sam Its wrong |

That's weak. |
He's neither Sweet NOR Genuine!

But I think Sam's explanation last night told us what is was really about, that Dexter behaves as if Sam isnt there, and when Sam does ask him to repeat or explain, dexter just says "oh dont worry about it" How annoying would that be?? |
I'm sure they all hold the door open for eachother numerous times a day though. Maybe a thank you here and there, but I personally wouldn't expect one every single time. And if I didn't get one, I don't think it would bother me so much to the point where I'd nominate someone.
I think Sam is a good kid, but I really think he's just taking his friends side in this situation. Which of course is fair enough. I think that's also the reason he nominated Dexter. If his biggest problem personally with Dexter is not getting a thank you every single time the door is held open for him, that's not a bad life to have lol. I'm sure the other housemates don't go out of their way to say thank you for things like as well at every opportunity. |

I had the feeling Sam would have punched Dexter, if they weren't on TV.
