why is callum obsessed with intelligence
 

everytime he speaks he mentions intelligence or being clever etc. over and over
he puts it into every convo. it is driving me madddddddddddddddd lol

It complements his boasting about his sexual prowess and conquests, total rubbish

I had a former internet friend who did this, too. I think he felt insecure in his own intelligence. The former internet friend was very manipulative and clever with words.

I quite liked Callum until I heard the conversation with Charlie where he told her she'd lost her biggest fan in the house. That whole conversation was redolent of former internet friend. Not good.

He reminds me of Anton..both have insecurity complex regarding intelligence.

Callum's a control freak but now he only has Sam in his control. it is a symptom of his controlling nature that he works with children.

Because he lacks it, He's obsessed with trying to be someone he's not. He wants to be this big intellectual alpha type male but he quite simply isn't. It's why he hates Dexter so much I think, Dexter is a lot more intelligent then he is and he holds the Alpha Male role in the house while Callum is disliked by everyone.

Anton used to do the same thing often saying 'I'm too intelligent' when trying and failing in all aspects with Aaron..

I remember when Louise said 'He's going mad...' in reference to Anton when he knew the game was up and he was being evicted..

Callum really wants to be smart and clever but he isn't. One of the main reasons that he doesn't like Dexter, as Dezzy said, is jealousy. Dexter is smart, no matter what his haters say, and Callum realizes it and hates him for it

One reason he likes Sam so much as he's probably one of the few in the house he is smarter than and can be the 'leader' in the relationship

Callum also pointd out last night that he believes Dexter's back story and thinks he is loaded and has a business in London "worth thousands", . Maybe a little hint of jealousy??

Because he has none. Callum cannot live up to his own self image and its tearing him apart. He's a very strange man.

Callum is pretty ignorant and jaded. He said he's sure Dexter has 5 figures in the bank. Entirely possible. I didn't know someone having a lifesaving's of 10K constitutes being rich or whatever. I think that a fair amount of people who are responsible and have a professional career easily have that much. Callum mentioned he doesn't have anything saved up. So is this all jealousy? Dexter has more money and generally gets along with Charlie more, so I guess that's an issue for him?

He has low self esteem and have issues of not good enough with the ladies.Need to grow out of this before it too late as his prime age time is passing by quickly. At 28 he should have been settled with a trusted women,married with children.

He is taking his insecurity and anger on dexter because Charlie nominated him and not dex.

Dexter has been boasting, since day one, about his properties overseas, his Media "business" and his lifestyle. Not forgetting his "huge Gambling win" which made him spend £120,000 on Cristal Champagne!

They both clearly have some issues they need to work out...

Callum seems to take it to the next level though imo, he's really bothered by Dexter. Whereas I don't think Dexter really cares that much...
