Callum's hatred came from nowhere

A couple of days ago, Dex and Cal would talk for hours and hours, admiring eachothers intelligence, but then suddenly, It's like Dexter has murdered Callums family or something

I reckon after he found out Charlie nominated him, something just clicked in his head, and it's like, now he will do anything to get at Dexter, like for example, Callum is now claiming that Gina, the one that trusts Dexter the most, is one of the only 2 housemates he trusts completely, along with Sam, and that them 2 are his "triangle".

He's also filling Gina up with his bull****, like he has done with Sam since day 1. He's manipulating the two with his lies...

He started to dislike Dexter the minute he decided he had feelings for Charlie too, but I agree the whole Charlie nominating him has pushed him over the edge and he's taken most of that out on Dexter

Callum is behaving like a spoilt brat who can't get their own way so is throwing a hissy fit - he needs to go on Friday for everyone's safety.

Also, I think that this whole feeling inferior to Dexter may have come up because Charlie nominating him but not Dexter made him feel less important to Charlie and therefore inferior to Dexter? But that he couldn't say that without looking like more of an idiot because he would be blaming Dexter for Charlies actions

I think Callum's hormones feed on rational thoughts. He's that sexually frustrated now in his pursuit of Charlie that ol hormone sponge has gone and soaked up all those rational thoughts. Simple really.

I mean the proper hatred, like, now it's really personal, in Callums head. Because before, it wasn't as bad as this, I mean, they used to joke as they insulted eachother, but then that was put to a stop in the trash talk challenge... Well, Callum put it to a stop, anyway. Dex's was still like, funny, but Callum's was like, all the hatred in his very soul poured into that 30 second speech...

Oh, he's a raving lunatic. I thought everyone knew!

I would agree with this. Remember how off it he went ast time he found out Charlie nominated him? He didn't have Dexter to blame back then so he just went off and cried in the loos about it. But he brought up all the 'insecure' 'feel worthless' argument then aswell.

It's really something that he needs to address himself instead of blaming other people or where he came from though, he's not going to solve this problem he has any other way

Charlie nominating him has done for him for sure. For me, Callums got a point; It must have been gut wrenching to see her nominate him but not Dexter. I think he actually likes her and tries to look out for her unlike Dexter who is only after a narrative for his journey. He must have felt so small. I think his feeling for Charlie and the fact it seems like she actually likes Dexter that is the reasons for his constant referencing how Dexter make him feel 'inferior'.

I honestly wonder how Callums going to handle it when Sam pulls Charlie amidst all of this ;)

Even so, that's not Dexters fault and whether or not Charlie back stabbed him or whatever it's still Callum who's responsible for his own reactions. I don't think he can blame anyone else for it

I'm trying to see it from Callums point of view. Fact is, he's also creeped Charlie out, argued with her mum etc. So there are arguments against but I suspect in Callums head he thinks he's been Charlies best friend in the house.

Yeah, I do feel for Callum and I think Dexter has poked him a bit but ultimately Callum has issues that he needs to deal with himself I think

Callum has openly admitted that his VT was all made up lies, so why does he think that Dexter's completely false VT is the Gospel Truth?

He told the other HMs about 2 nights ago that he, Callum, had no money but that Dexter was rolling in it with a "business worth thousands". Dexter hasn't got a pot to piss in, so is Callum just envious of perceived wealth? Why would he say that, more to the point why does he believe that Dexter's VT isn't just a load of bullcrap?

Raph 01-08-2013 10:29 AM

It hasn't come out of nowhere, if I wasn't on my phone I'd post something more elaborate, but simply put if you poke and belittle anyone enough, they're going to have enough at one point, and that's exactly what's happened with Callum. He's just finally stood up for himself and I'm really proud of him for it.
