Probably due to Dexter not bothering with him for all those weeks, Sam is on the ball he knows slime when he sees it.

he was groomed well by the stalker and never liked dex anyway. he hs nominated him and sophie every week since day 1

This. Except for the slime part. Dex has pretty much ignored Sam throughout, except for trying to find out why he nominated him. And from Sam's perspective Dex has pretty much destroyed his best mate in the house.

Dex's sudden change of attitude towards him may have seemed utterly fake to him.

Dexter is the friendly clever domesticated Rat that only wants some attention, Sam is the Sewer rat that only sticks to his own kind like Callum

Tried to say he said Sam said something he didnt. Trying to turn Gina on him. What a little devious rat. Flipping idiot he is. Good on Sam for calling him out.

He should be thanking Dexter for giving him a meal and letting him be in the safe house, instead he comes out of the safe house and has a go at him. Sam actually said them words i think Callum has had an effect on him and he is rewording conversations again....
