BB couldn't win with Emily after what happened in CBB, if they kept her in they would have had complaints and likewise if they had thrown her out.

The fact C4 had no choice, was nothing to do with CBB, but everything to do with that word.

It's just a word that white people don't have use of. When we did own that word, it was used in a very dark part of our history.

I don't think she should be kicked out. (In fact multiple hgs have said these comments. so if she got kicked out, so would about half of the hgs left in there. And BBUSA has never sent in Late entries so bascially they would have 4 hgs moping around for about 5 weeks. ) There's a little thing called Free Speech over here. The only way bb is going to ask the stuff to stop is if there's a fist fight that results from it.

I really do understand what you're saying regarding the way in which she used it, but for me personally, I just think that's there is no acceptable context for a white person to use that word in conversation. Especially to a black person who she didn't even know that well. It wasn't acceptable, and I think C4 did the correct thing.

I do understand your point of view, but because of my views concerning the word used, I don't think C4 had a choice.

We have free speech over here as well. However, white people don't get to use that word to a black person. It's the small penance we pay for the things we subjected other humans to for centuries. I think a little self control is definitely the better end of the deal, don't you?

Really hope if nothing else all this leads to Alison Grodner getting fired - it's pathetic that she has yet to publicly speak about any of it (only Julie Chen has from Big Brother itself), and even more disturbing after the whole flipping of the bed scenario (the point IMO where Aaryn and GinaMarie could have been thrown out) from talk on the live feed over the weekend it seems that Candice, who was clearly very distressed about the whole thing - not just on the night but in the days that followed - hasn't even been talked to about it in the diary room. They didn't even check if she was OK.

WOW! Didn't even bother their wretched asses to ask if she was ok? How callous and uncaring is that? This is why I find the attitiudes in BBUS so much less appealing than UK or AU. At least BB gives a shyte about the wellbeing of housemates in UK and AU.
