Favourite quotations?

Do you have any quotes that you really like? I have a few saved away in a little note on my computer and phone that I really appreciate:

"In the midst of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer." - Albert Camus

"Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards." - Soren Kierkegaard

"It's all mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." - Albert Einstein

"Life becomes easier when you learn to accept an apology you never got." - Robert Brault

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent
-Eleanor Roosevelt

The Mad Hatter: Have I gone mad?
[Alice checks Hatter's temperature]
Alice Kingsley: I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.
- Lewis Carroll

“Music, Take That and what we do is not real life. It’s magical.
As soon as you begin to believe it the magic will disappear.”
― Gary Barlow

That's what Take That allows you. It allows you to dream and it allows them to come true
― Mark Owen

“Some people care too much. I think it's called love.”
― A.A. Milne

“But...books are so much more. Some of them are webs; you can feel your way along their threads, but just barely, into strange and dark corners. Some of them are balloons bobbing up through the sky: totally self-contained, and unreachable, but beautiful to watch.
And some of them―the best ones―are doors.”
― Lauren Oliver, Pandemonium

It is likely I will die next to a pile of things I was meaning to read.
— Lemony Snicket

You just have to get through high school. High school sucks for anyone who's the least bit different. But then there's college, and then out in the real world, you'll find where you belong
— George O'Malley[Grey's Anatomy]

Books are no more threatened by Kindle than stairs by elevators.
— Stephen Fry

Right I'll stop now. And yes I did just copy all them off Goodreads or Tumblr.

Which one of us are you trying to convince?

If you like to watch interracial midgets fornicating consensually, then I'm not here to judge.

Have your sons loaded your laptop with anti-virus' and spyware protection stuff?

Do

“Don’t tell me the sky is the limit, there are footprints on the moon.”

- Dorothy Parker

“Life is not about ALL the wrong moves you made. Life is about the one right move that made ALL the difference.”

- James Lockhart

“Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions.”

- Elizabeth Gilbert

“They laugh at me because I’m different; I laugh at them because they’re all the same.”

- Lady Gaga

“Life is very interesting… in the end, some of your greatest pains, become your greatest strengths.”

- Drew Barrymore

“Don’t confuse my personality with my attitude. My personality is who I am. My attitude depends on who you are.”

- Marilyn Monroe

“Never allow someone to be your priority if you’re only their option”

- Mark Twain

Shaun 13-08-2013 08:30 PM

first person to use that Marilyn Monroe quote about "if you can't handle me at my worst" or w/e is getting a slap because I'm sick of bitches using that as an excuse to be a dickhead. literally every **** on facebook has it.

as for me~

"When the Jazz man testifies, the faithless man believes" - Carole King. Probably my favourite lyric.

also the quote from the Office finale <3

Quote:

"Life is just a series of peaks and troughs. And you don't know whether you're in a trough until you're climbing out, or on a peak until you're coming down. And that's it you know, you never know what's round the corner. But it's all good. "If you want the rainbow, you've gotta put up with the rain." Do you know which "philosopher" said that? Dolly Parton. And people say she's just a big pair of tits."
I don't really have a favourite movie or book quote... although Twelfth Night's "if music be the food of love, play on, give me excess of it" is a favourite.

A line from the Bob Seger song, “Against the Wind”,
‘I wish I didn’t know now what I didn’t know then.’

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 13-07-2021 12:01 AM

“He call me throatzilla, I suck a dick so killer
Strawberry ice cream or vanilla
Chiller, your girl sick, but I'm iller
Yeah, yeah and my coat chinchilla

Bang on my chest like gorilla
Chain on my neck like a dealer
Hits on deck, no filler
Queen of the Huns, I'm Attila”
