SkyBet Championship Season 2013-2014

Any fans of any championship teams on here. Looks a good league this year.

My team (Wednesday) lost 2-1 to QPR at Loftus road on Saturday. We were unlucky, blatant pen waved away.

Ipswich are my championship team

What are your prospects for this season and what do you think of good old Mick McCarthy?

King Gizzard 06-08-2013 02:44 PM

Hard to predict, they're certainly not in the favourites for promotion for sure, but they could go up as could nearly every team in the championship such is the nature of the league

It's his first season, with a full pre-season and his own players in and only 2 loans, I think they have a strong shot at the playoffs at least..

Yeh I can see your lot in the play-offs, auto is going to be hard this year between the 3 that dropped and probably Watford aswell.

Hello Brighton :wavey:

King Gizzard 06-08-2013 02:58 PM

Wigan could run away with it by January I think, their squad is in that zone where it's probably too good for the Championship but not good enough for the PL

Same with QPR

Absolutely. By all accounts Wigan smashed Barnsley at Oakwell on Saturday and I know they aren't exactly promotion contenders but it still look ominous for the rest of us.

Holt will be destroying the Championship this season.. easy promotion for Wigan and like Nathan said i expect QPR to get the 2nd automatic promotion spot.. but then again there are 12-14 clubs that could potentially get promoted this season, too open to call.

Brother Leon 06-08-2013 03:25 PM

Will just back whoever United loan to the championship and anyone but Udinese B.

King Gizzard 06-08-2013 03:28 PM

Well Ipswich have Tunnicliffe (and Veseli but he's permanent)

Novo 17-08-2013 11:40 AM

This Dominic Poleon player for Leeds looks quality

Novo 17-08-2013 11:55 AM

Kyle 21-09-2013 04:21 PM

Wednesday spanked 4 - 1 at Brum. Jones out! :cloud:

Novo 28-09-2013 10:21 PM

Danny Ings

Kyle 29-09-2013 10:00 AM

Sheffield Wednesday 0 - 1 Doncaster Rovers

Played them off the park and then Macheda (the guy from Man U) scores for them on one of their few chances)

I hate football sometimes.

McClaren the new Derby manager :joker:

Novo 30-09-2013 05:21 PM

He'll be okay there if Will Hughes sticks around put he'll probably be off in January if Derby aren't near the Play Offs

MTVN 30-09-2013 05:27 PM

The man is a clown

Novo 30-09-2013 05:29 PM

Fergie's right hand man during the treble days, got Middlesbrough their first trophy since the dawn of time, took them on the greatest european comeback run ever and destroyed the dutch league

MTVN 30-09-2013 05:32 PM

= did alright as an assistant, won a mickey mouse cup, did alright in a mickey mouse league :idc:

MTVN 30-09-2013 05:34 PM

Couldn't even last a year at bloody Wolfsburg or Notts Forest

Novo 30-09-2013 05:39 PM

Wolfsburg had their squad ripped apart well after he took over he couldn't really do much there, it was a far cry from the Dzeko and Grafite days and Forest wouldn't let him loan players so he couldn't carry them forward, he could do what he wanted at Boro and turned them into a great top 8 side with a cup to go beside it

MTVN 30-09-2013 05:42 PM

Well still.. England
