Gina Fans! Is the controversy and hate a good thing!?
 

This week, although we may not like to admit it, there has been a lot of hate coming our Gina's way. However, instead of focussing on the negative aspects of this hate why not focus on the positive ones!

Before probably last week, Gina was the runaway winner. She was by far the most popular housemate. Now, she still has a very strong support base, but a growing base of people who dislike her.

If her original 'runaway winner status' was kept until the final, maybe some fans might not have bothered to vote, out of comfort in thinking she already had it sealed, and indirectly, may have handed it to someone else.

Because there is so much hate coming her way, is this just spurring us, her strong and loyal fanbase, on to vote for her more than ever? This may be a blessing in disguise. FINGERS CROSSED!

Tbh BB want Sam to win so they might pretend that Gina comes 3rd in the final like they did last year with Deana.

Loyal fans are the worst thing about the show. Why don't people watch the show properly anymore? Change their favourites after watching their behaviour?

If Gina was my favourite yesterday, there'd be no way I'd still be a fan after watching her last night.. Because she was awful..

This is why I began the thread name with "Gina Fans". This was a ploy to deter non-Gina fans away from a discussion that was intended for Gina fans. There are plenty of other threads where you can have a go.

But to answer your question about loyal fans... I for one don't disagree with the way Gina has been acting. Gina has done nothing to deter me personally away from supporting her. Maybe I am blinded by my love for her, I don't know, but if she ever did anything that I didn't agree with, sure, I could be a bit put off. But what she did this week was in essence, an amplified version of what she has been this entire journey. I don't just focus on what she does, but also the journey she has been on and problems she has been faced with and how she has overcome them. I genuinely believe she was confused and felt played by Charlie, but since she had the night and day to reflect upon it, she has admitted to Charlie that she was wrong and that she should have never gotten involved in the fight in the first place.

I know it isn't the same by any means, but imagine Gina was your best friend. Sure she puts a foot wrong every now and then, but that isn't going to stop you from wanting to be her friend. I have liked Gina since the start, so of course I am going to give her a bit of room to cause some trouble, after all, that is what I love about her.

You didn't need to reply though, did you? Just seeking an argument I suspect.

Cool great constructive post. But I disagree, if Gina was my best friend but acted hideously, idiotically and immaturely on a semi-regular basis, I'd find somebody a little less dickheadish! Loyal fans are just a problem I'm gonna have to get used to.

Loyal fans are better than fickle fans which killed BB10.

Yeah I see where you are coming from, and that is something you don't look for in a housemate. But a lot of Gina fans love her because of how outspoken and confrontational she is. Using the best friend metaphor, you never would have become best friends with Gina if you didn't like the hideous, idiotic and immature aspect of her.
