Chris Brown isn't singing a happy tune right now. In fact, the guy is hinting that he may actually give up singing altogether.

The Grammy winner took to Twitter on Tuesday and seemed to suggest that he would soon be retiring from music.

"Don't worry mainstream America. After this X album, it'll probably be my last album," Brown

He later added, "Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when I was 18. I'm cool & over it!"

The latter tweet was no doubt in reference to the 2009 assault on Rihanna.

Brown's comments come just one day after he turned himself in and was booked in connection with his on-going hit-and-run case.

According to the booking report obtained from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the singer arrived at 2:40 p.m. on Monday and was released less than an hour later.

Last month, a judge revoked Brown's felony probation stemming from the 2009 assault and set a probation violation hearing for Aug. 18.

Meanwhile, X, Brown's sixth studio album, is reportedly scheduled to drop on Aug. 20.

Daamn. Summer bangers won't be the same without Chris. Such a shame he is going to stop doing what he loves so young. :(

oh well.

Tom4784 07-08-2013 09:59 PM

Good, he's a prick and he deserves none of the good things his 'career' has afforded him.

Ninastar 07-08-2013 09:59 PM

praying this is true.

Brother Leon 07-08-2013 10:06 PM

Terrible loss to music. Time for someone else to step up with the 2014 summer banger now.

It seems that he's actually grown a brain and made an intelligent decision for once. Don't let the door hit your obnoxious ass on the way out, Chris.

I'm a bit concerned about the sad face next to the thread title tbh :suspect:

Thank god for this though, Derulo might as well retire as well since hes only got Usher and Ne-Yo to rip off now.

iRyan 08-08-2013 01:04 AM

Good

But i'm sure he'll be back in 3 years

Samuel. 08-08-2013 01:07 AM

Won't happen

He'll be back after 6 months, let alone 3 years

Brother Leon 08-08-2013 01:23 AM

At least he will leave us with the Masterpiece that is "X"

In terms of his career prospects though, probably wise for him to disappear now while he's still relatively popular. He can go do something else for a few years and then maybe relaunch with a bang in a few years. I doubt this will be the last thing he ever does musically.

Mitchell 09-08-2013 08:46 PM

Only James Arthur to go until music has no dickheads in mainstream
