Dexter Season 8 [FX 9pm Sundays]
 

Has anyone been watching this, its up to episode 6 now.

So far Charlotte Rampling has been great, but next to Season 7 - which was an excellent return to form - it just doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Far too much dwelling on irrelevant storylines such as Quinn and Jaime, Masuka and his daughter, Deb and Elway etc. Also there is no sense of danger or of Dexter being at any kind of risk.

Hopefully Hannah can liven things up for the last half of the season, but especially considering its the final one, it's been disappointing so far.

Yeah, seems to be a bit all over the place, they're already half way through the finale and they haven't even started the story of how they're planning to wrap it up

It's a real shame the way this series has panned out. That Masuka story is bizarre. Hires a PI to find out whether she could be using him for money, then offers her money anyway.

Too many stories, and not enough attention paid to each of them to do it justice.

It's messy and doesn't fit together at all. I read some spoilers yesterday, about how the whole show ends, and I'm not sure there is any redemption for the last half of the last series.

When I watch the Dexters through again in a few years time, I think I will be definitely adding this series to the Miguel one as avoidable.

I quite like this series so far although I kind of think things will end up in a predictable manner as I think Dexter will kill Vogel since he pretty much kills 90% of the guest characters and either Quinn or Angel is going to become suspicious of Dexter and he'll end up killing them or be caught.

Ooh, I started watching this the other night! Ive only watched the first 2 episodes of s1 and it looks quite promising! :)

I'm really jealous knowing you have the unwatched show ahead of you. I loved watching it through the first time. I think it's the kind of thing you'll like as well.
