Charlie is being used as a pawn...

To gratify the two bitches in there...

Sophie is just a **** stirring goafer.

kate2013 09-08-2013 12:21 AM

Charlie is being used as a Pawn and more than willing to act like one.

Kate! 09-08-2013 12:23 AM

Well said. Was just going to post a Charlie is piggy in the middle thread. Feel sorry for her.

Jords 09-08-2013 12:27 AM

Charlie's always put in the best position of the house, Dexter and Callum wanted her on their side, now Hazel and Gina do... even though it was just 2 days ago they 'reunited' against her!

There must be something about Charlie

Kizzy 09-08-2013 12:28 AM

Gina dropped sophie for charlie and was gutted when her and hazel became friends again.

ozzyshaggah 09-08-2013 06:10 AM

charlie is a prawn

Ammi 09-08-2013 06:13 AM

..I don't think Charlie's a pawn at all or at the very most, she's a willing one.. she's too ready to flit from one person to another to try to stay friends with everyone and in doing that she's displaying no character or personality of her own...

Not caught in the middle though.
Just got to look at the Dexter/Callum thing to see does very little to stop being the focus of people's attention.

How is Hazel using Charlie ?
I really don't get it.

Cocidius 09-08-2013 06:47 AM

At the end of the day if Charlie was like she is in the house with the trying to please people at the expense of her friends. Who trust her. Then again they aren't there to be friends with eachother they are there to win a game. I guess people forget the purpose at the end of the day. Love it:-)

the_answers 09-08-2013 06:54 AM

At least Gina is blatantly obvious with some aspects of her gameplan.

I think Charlie is indeed playing a very subtle game of fake goodytooshoes innocence and people are finally starting to see through it and wise up to her.

If I'm wrong I'll be gutted.

But far too many things don't add up and don't think she's half as sincere as she makes out.

rusticgal 09-08-2013 08:27 AM

Hazel wa NEVER Charlies friend....

Exactly so. She is being used but only because she lets it.

BJ2 09-08-2013 08:51 AM

I think Charlie is playing a game. Have said so from the start. I never liked her or Jackie.

Precise and to the point.

Does anyone remember when Bit on the Psych talked about Sallie and "pseudo infantile gestures"? Charlie is the master of them. It's not that she "knowz what she's doing", it's not even as simple as that; she has clearly used these techniques to get her own way her entire life and they are just part if how she communicates. The little sad pout when she doesn't agree with something, the little smile with the tongue sticking out a little, the puppy dog eyes, even her "foot in mouth" syndrome that she just can't help (like my 3 year old...) - all are designed to make her seem harmless and to disarm people. Even when she has demonstrated that she is NOT harmless and has a whole other, quite cold and calculating, side to her.

The night when people turned on her confirmed it. She went into overdrive with these gestures and people were still going and she actually started to break down. she "didn't understand" and felt like the whole world was falling apart, because something that had worked for her for her entire life wasn't making people "stop being mean".

Did you see her reaction when Gina came to give her a hug the next day? She reacted like a toddler being taken out of time-out (a parenting technique I totally disagree with, for the record). She was so pleased to be "accepted by mummy (Gina)" again that she completely forgot how scathing Gina had been to her.

I reckon a lot of it quite clearly comes down to Ma Travers I'm afraid. I think she has at times in Charlie's childhood been quite a cold / strict mum and Charlie has naturally learned these techniques to soften her up. She really is at this point a perpetual teenager. she's 26 but constantly reminds me of a 15 or 16 year old.

So its not that she has a gameplan in being a willing pawn... She just has an overwhelming need for acceptance and will go along with people so long as they're being nice to her. very "teen" in general, really.

kate2013 09-08-2013 12:50 PM

Charlies gameplan is acting a victim when she gets caught out and brown nosing to make up for it.

chuff me dizzy 09-08-2013 12:57 PM

Agree ,she is being used, but too gentle to see it ,Gina,Dexter,Hazel ALL used her

the_answers 09-08-2013 01:06 PM

She must have KNOWN Dex and Callum would fight over her (but kept touching Callum to stop being voted up ?) and Hazel would be none too happy.

Either she's completely thick, simply deluded like a child (see Toysoldier ?) or is just playing them all for fools.

After sucking up to Gina I suspect she knows exactly what she's doing.

Or is she super-smart in her gameplan and it's
"Keep your friends close but your enemies closer" ?

:worship: Perfect Ammi.

She puts herself in the middle by formulating no opinion of her own. She can't evaluate her own thoughts until she's gone around juicing all the thoughts out of everyone else.

At best she's a gullible, naive fool and at worst she's a manipulator.

She needs to judge a situation from her own perspective and stick to it and stop playing "everyone's friend".

We've a Travers-shaped task on our hands this afternoon as Charlie will take centre-stage in Chats With Charlie. This one's going to put her "deep" personality and analytical mind to optimum use. She'll be pondering the big questions in life with her housemates – and we all know they're more than capable of pondering deep thought.

Big Brother will call Charlie to the Diary Room where a secret mission will be set to perfectly make use of her "deep" personality. She'll be given four deep and meaningful questions (such as: "what's the meaning of life") in the Diary Room. She'll be told that she has an hour to discuss and come up with an answer to one of the questions with each Housemate. After an hour on the mission, Charlie will be called to the Diary Room and asked to provide an answer to each question.

If Charlie answers to Big Brother’s satisfaction, she'll win a pamper kit for all the girls in the house. And if she doesn't?

They'll get zero. Zilch. Nada.

So this must mean that Charlie is going. This series they had a lot of "special tasks" on the last day of the person who got evicted.

Your only a pawn if you choose to be

You put a sinister twist on what is normal human nature. If someone acts like a victim its because they feel one or are one.

Brown nosing as you put is nothing more than trying to resolve a situation......

Charlies behavour is perfectly normal unlike some of the other housmates who change personalities every few minutes

Pawns by definition do not choose themselves. Pawns are always chosen by the player....

megamaja40 09-08-2013 06:55 PM

Charlie chooses to be the pawn! She knows they are all using her and doesn't want to stand up for herself.... She likes playing the victim!
