'Our agents will be working for us'

:yuk:

This is exactly what I hate - what this show has become. A platform for wannabes.

Charlie saying to the twins 'you'll be snapped up when you get out of here'

For what?? You're all bloody useless

Scream 11-08-2013 12:24 AM

I don't think it's a bad thing

Mystic Mock 11-08-2013 12:37 AM

Tbf I wish them all the best of luck once they're out of the house.

Northern Monkey 11-08-2013 12:38 AM

The point i'm making is that being on this show shouldn't be about that. They should have people in there who don't care about 'being famous'.

I remember the first few series when they werent even aware if anyone was watching the show. That was great. People like this lot would not have touched the first few series with a barge pole.

CaudleHalbard 11-08-2013 12:47 AM

Surely the twins will be going to 'uni' - given that some so-called university is bound to accept you even if you a bit of a dumbo?

While I agree with what you're saying for the most part, those innocent days are long gone.

Spoon 11-08-2013 01:11 AM

Maybe an agent could get them a 3% raise at the supermarket for the 2 people a week who might ask them to sign autographs for the first month they're out of the house! They'll be attracting extra people to the market to shop! Surely that merits a raise.

Big Brother 1 yes they were normal people and didn't know how big the show would become.

Big Brother 2 did attract wannabes aka Narinder who admits that herself after seeing the first batch of housemates becoming households names in the summer of 2000 but obviously the housemates of BB2 didn't know if that would be a hit either or if BB was a 1 hit wonder.

That was 12 years ago and you're not going to get people like that anymore.

I personally like to see my favs do well outside the house if I vote for someone to win then I also hope they go on to get a good career and if they are in the press a lot then that makes the show look bigger instead of housemates being forgotten about within days.

Precisely. Harking back to the good old days is just a waste of time.

To be fair, they know when entering BB these days that it is a possibility, so why hide the fact. Hazel never hid the fact she was in there to up her profile and work. However, the other week, the Twins were saying in so many words, they couldn't be doing with those who used the show as a building block to other stuff, and that they intended to continue as they were before the show and had done nothing to get in the media even before BB. So we will see if they are just as fame and media hungry as most BB housemates, past and present.

Don't be fooled by anything that fame hungry pair say. They have their hearts (and minds) set on a "glittering" media career like Ant & Dec or Jedward.

"Are we being funny, mummy"

daniel-lewis-1985 11-08-2013 09:40 AM

The one think that did annoy me was them talking about how much more popular this years BB is compared to previous ones.

How the hell did they know that?

They desperately want to be an obese version of Jedward. Unfortunately there's no market for such a thing! :D

They get told lots of thing in thr Diary room Like "your sister was in the eviction crowd" and Dexter being told his mother had been flown in to also be in the eviction crowd. What else they get told we will never know because BB censors them when they start talking about their favourite people in the DR and what they tell them

I absolutely agree there. That was why I said we will see, as methinks they protesteth too much on that score.

More outside influence that usual this year maybe? Also most housemates must have guessed the fact that when Daley was thrown out the BB house would have drawn in a bigger audience.

I remember back in the day when it was all nice and still a social experiment.
