role models

I am fed up with the people who misinterpret the meaning of the words role model when they apply them to Sam. The Oxford English dictionary definition
is, Role model A person looked to by others as an example in a particular role,
function, place, part, duty, job, task,or responsibility. Nowhere does it mention
that role models have to be suitable for a "Monastic life". It is my view that
Sam has simply set himself the task of proving that people with hearing problems
can get involved in all areas of life including appearing on television game shows.
In my view he has done well in what must have been very difficult circumstances, he has participated in all aspects of house life, stood up for both
himself & others, been loyal to his friends, been the least bitchy, and has been fun. Whether he goes tonight or not he deserves respect for lasting as long as he has. Most people have to be role models at some point in their lives, mine is at work with young teenage students.
Furthermore some Dexter fans have started to portray him as some sort of Superhero. This is their right(although I still wouldnt buy a used car from him)
however there are some of his fans who dont wear rose coloured spectacles,
and would probably agree that he would not be suitable for the monastic lifestyle either.
I just wanted to get that of my chest. Phew feel better now
