Tomorrow its 2 years since BB came back to our screens on Channel 5.

Time flies.

So whats your thoughts?

Has it lived up to your expectations?

Has it got better as times gone on or do you still feel like it hasn't become a staple of Channel 5 like it did with Channel 4?

I think we have had some cracking series CBB9 was amazing, BB13 no matter what people say now was a brilliant series and last year people were saying its the best since BB7....Those same people last year are now bashing BB13 lol fickle Frances'.

CBB10 had some great fights and contestants Julie Goodyear and Jasmine give some epic BB performances and CBB12 however **** the cast were was a massive success and the most succesfull CBB on Channel 5 to date all due to the legend that was Speidi.

Loving Emma but neither her or Brian have been able to come up with a line that kills Davinas "you're live on Channel 4 please do not swear"...."Your time has come" and "your fate is seales" are just to Hollywood cheese.

Finally BB14 has been classic, yes a lot of amazing housemates went early and its a fairly quiet last week but we did well holding onto big characters for so long into the series (Gina, Dexter, Charlie imo is a great housemate and Hazel however hated brought in the viewers.

Thoughts?

Hit and miss. Loved bb12. Didnt get into bb13 at all. This series has been great

Never thought much of CBB.

Shaun 17-08-2013 09:43 PM

Hated BB12, the CBB with Denise/KK in it.

Loved BB13, the CBBs with Julian and Rylan as winners.

Somewhat enjoyed BB14, and the CBB with Paddy as the winner.

So completely hit and miss

Adamw92 17-08-2013 09:44 PM

Its been hit and miss for me.

BB12 was good but BB13 was so much better, BB14 has been a bit 50/50 for me and there's been about 6 series of CBB too many and not one of them has even remotely caught my interest.

jackc1806 17-08-2013 09:45 PM

7 series in 2 years, soon to be 8

wtf

erinp5 17-08-2013 09:46 PM

It's the last civilian BB I will watch

Marsh. 17-08-2013 09:57 PM

Hit and miss but more miss than hit.

Definitely improving, BB14 is the best one for years but 12 and 13 were nothing more than excrement.

RichardG 17-08-2013 09:57 PM

It's only been two years??? But we've had like a million C5 series' already :joker: thought it was at least three...

But yeah, hit and miss like everyone else. If they get it right - like CBB9 - then they do it AMAZINGLY well. Hopefully they learn with each series and they'll become more consistent in the future.

Gstar 17-08-2013 10:15 PM

Yeah, it feels weird seeing as we've had so many series and it's almost taken over my life for the past two years

Drew. 17-08-2013 11:01 PM

BB12 has been the highlight of C5 for me

Pronshi 18-08-2013 12:06 AM

I watched every series bar CBB12 (Which was apparently the best ironically)
I was just so stressed out that month and not eating well over exams.

So yeah I have love every series. *Of course I can pick and complain over bits and bobs but overall these series' have being brilliant*

Bar some things they have put some of the later channel 4 series' to shame.
Not the good old days but the later like BB11.

karezza 18-08-2013 12:16 AM

It has given us Aaron and Dexter.

:cheer:

daniel-lewis-1985 18-08-2013 12:19 AM

Cant believe its been 2 years!!!

2 years since we were all waiting for that first BB promo to be aired where all those ex housemates tared up the screens with their lip synching and Hollywood worthy CGI.

God I remember our predictions of 1 million for launch and then the next day we woke up, clicked on the ratings thread and saw it had over 5 million with an 8 million peak.

We all reached self completion on that day.

MTVN 18-08-2013 12:23 AM

Really enjoyed the first two civilian series especially BB12, this one's not been as good but still has had it's moments. CBB has been a bit hit and miss but we've had a couple of great series and housemates in that too

On the whole I think they're doing a really good job, they've definitely got better at producing the show as times gone on but I still picked the top option instead of the second one just because BB12 was my favourite C5 series despite them still getting to grips with things then

Also I know it's tradition and everything for normal BB to be in the summer but I actually think BB12's time frame of being in the autumn worked really well, harder for a lot of people to keep track with the show every night during the summer months

Black Dagger 18-08-2013 12:27 AM

It's definitely been hit and miss, but I've never had the urge to tune out and be done with BB forever, I don't think I ever could be (until it finishes obviously.. and then I think we have years of BBCA/AUS/USA ahead still anyway if BBUK was axed tomorrow)

Despite my moans and my real annoyance at the meddling with the noms this series I feel it only fair to rate it as great.

I recall the way I personally felt when we thought it was the final series for good in 2010, then as the news unfolded of it being saved the elation that was felt at it continuing.

For those reasons, I will always appreciate and applaud Channel 5 for keeping BB on our screens and will also be grateful too to them for saving the show for those who are real diehard fans of it.

Bullshizzle.

GypsyGoth 18-08-2013 12:37 AM

This has been the best series they've done, it's as good as anything C4 have done.

I felt they got a great group of housemates together this time. Also I've skipped a couple of the CBBs, simply because I don't want to get jaded.

reece(: 18-08-2013 12:47 AM

utter **** but better than nothing

Kinda tired out. As well as BB I watch XF, the apprentice, I'm a Celeb, and Survivor, so looking at CBB as well I'd kinda get fed up with realty tv type shows. So I limit myself in a way, so I enjoy the ones I watch more.

So that's why I don't watch the CBB, but I would if there was a celeb I really like in it.

emmetmcl 18-08-2013 02:53 AM

Total cack but I enjoy tuning in every night :)

Locke. 18-08-2013 03:07 AM

BB12 and all the CBB's have been good. BB13 and BB14 have been terrible.

Lwize 18-08-2013 03:26 AM

It's the same producers - why would anyone expect the show to change just by switching channels?

the_answers 18-08-2013 04:01 AM

They're so close to getting it right it's quite annoying actually.

These "experts" aren't as always as expert as they make out though.

Think they need to drop this anti-gameplaying stance like it's a bad thing and try to work the HM's gameplans out more (suprise suprise ! :))

Too often they don't know and just say

"You can't work him out, you just don't know what's going on."

Well sack them and find someone else who does then !
