No real shock, although the fans who he has conned must be feeling a little stupid.

Twildoo 18-08-2013 08:24 AM

Doesn't suprise me

pepsi63 18-08-2013 08:33 AM

More reason for him to win then

I had a chat with his ex she said dexter told her " I will win over the stupid thick public and pay off my debts. "

Oh dear... looks like Mummy needs to have a quiet chat with her compulsive liar of a son as he and Charlie have been talking about heading straight to Vegas on Friday. Hardly something someone who's reovering from a gambling addiction and million pound debt would do is it.

The only thing Charlie needs to do when she leaves that house is run as far away from that creep as physically possible. I see stalking on the horizon!

Wonder wow Dexter's mum could afford a mansion and a "luxury lifestyle" in the first place, says she only worked as a cruise singer

Why? it's not come as any surprise to anyone surely that he has no cash.

Daffodil 18-08-2013 08:53 AM

It all becomes clear why his eyes darted about when he got the message from his Mum at the Last Supper (video of which is elsewhere on this site).

To be fair I wasn't convinced by the Pub landlord story from that rag so I'm not going to be selective in what I choose to believe.

Daffodil 18-08-2013 08:59 AM

I wonder why his Mum has given that interview to The Star. Not a very nice thing of a 'loved one' to do. Maybe in some strange way she think the public will sympathise with him, but surely this will have the opposite effect.

Pincho Paxton 18-08-2013 09:00 AM

I suspected a debt, but not that high.

Gusto Brunt 18-08-2013 09:00 AM

I have never understood how somebody can still be classed as 'rich' yet have more debts than they have assets and ready cash.

I wouldn't class him as rich.

Wouldn't surprise me if she was in on all this too. She seems all too ready to involve herself in all of this rubbish.

I wasn't necessarily talking about Dexter. I was talking about anyone who is supposed to have money yet has massive debts.

Well said and that is my stance on this story too really.

Very good point. She DOES remind me a little of Marlene in Only Fools and Horses.

Gusto Brunt 18-08-2013 09:10 AM

Wow, I just looked at his mother's age.

50???

I thought she was about 60.

But then again, I don;t think Dexter is 28. ;)

Hahahahahahahahaha yes.

Poor Dexter deserves to win more than rich Gina or gameshow Sam.

:spin2::spin2::spin2:

LANDROVER 18-08-2013 09:22 AM

For goodness sake, all of these wannabees are there for self interest.
Dexter is a convincing liar who will say anything spontaneously to fit his needs at that moment.
Charlie flits from topics to conversations, generally about herself so you come away with the feeling youve never had a proper conversation.
Gina is constantly imposing on others a false reality made up of distortion and fabrication.
Sam appears to lack insight and seems inconsiderate to the needs of others.
The twins show a self opinionated aura of arrogance and a sense of untouchability.

Truthfully they all display that they know exactly what theyre doing and how to target their victims. They all would cheerfully shoot each other to grab the prize money.

Didn't Dexter say himself that he pissed away a huge amount of money in one go while gambling? It sounds as though Dexter isn't cured of his gambling addiction. He could well be on the plane to Vegas as soon as the launch party is over. I shudder to think that some US casino might get the winners 100k.

Vicky. 18-08-2013 11:44 AM

Star, again :idc:

fingers 18-08-2013 11:45 AM

I'm fairly sure that Dexter, in a conversation with Dan early on, told Dan that he hadn't got the money to visit his overseas properties, "I'm cash poor but assets rich" so he said,
