Rebecca Adlington has Olympic medals stolen

not quite sure why I'm so angry about this as there are bigger things to be angry about I suppose, but I am..someone works so hard for many years to be the champion in the pinnacle of sport and you just take it away like that...

No doubt she'll get them back, hopefully

Black Dagger 20-08-2013 12:00 AM

****ing cretins :bored:

Drew. 20-08-2013 12:01 AM

do they get given replacements if they lose/have them stolen or damage them?

King Gizzard 20-08-2013 12:03 AM

Maybe, but a replacement would never feel the same

LikeABoatOnWater 20-08-2013 12:03 AM

Should have taken better care of them, you can't leave something so precious just laying around.

Smithy 20-08-2013 12:04 AM

MeMyselfAndI 20-08-2013 12:05 AM

People are laughing at her

I don't understand why you'd want to steal an Olympic medal, it's pretty much worthless unless you earnt it.

Are you joking? Since when did people need to start having to hide their valuable possessions in their house in order to not be blamed for robbery

Brother Leon 20-08-2013 12:09 AM

Few people have had their medals stolen now. The others got their ones back though. Hopefully she does too.

When the whole country knows you have 2 gold medals and they get stolen because somebody broke into your house and found them framed above your toilet (guess?) you shouldn't be suprised. I feel sorry that she was robbed.

So anyone with valuable items people know about should keep them locked up in a high security vault rather than keep them in their own home to be enjoyed?

I really don't get your logic, she worked really hard for them, why should she not have them in her house to enjoy every day?

Yes, If everyone knew I had these valuable items I would lock them up in a vault.

Black Dagger 20-08-2013 12:52 AM
