If Sam is such an undeserving winner...

How come all the finalists tonight except for Dexter (but INCLUDING Gina) named him as the one they thought should win?
They lived in the house with him, they knew him, and he was the WINNER to them. Brilliant!!!:dance::dance:

BigBuk 20-08-2013 12:24 AM

Because they liked him better and he was easier to live with... If you're boring you're not going to upset people are you? I dont mind Sam but Dexter deserved it alot more imo.

LikeABoatOnWater 20-08-2013 12:25 AM

Have the finalist watched the show and seen how boring he? NO

Jack_ 20-08-2013 12:26 AM

Jesus this is like the most obvious answer ever...why is this even a question?

Because living with people is very different to watching them. If I had been living in that house, I'd have probably wanted Sam to win too. He seems like a decent lad and would probably be a good friend...he's not really pissed many of them off in there and I imagine as a housemate for the most part you want an easy ride...so um yeah I'm not really surprised they named him as the one they wanted to win? Like seriously I can't believe this question has even been asked.

There's a very big difference between living with people in the house and watching them on an entertainment TV gameshow though. Whilst the 'nice' quiet ones would be pretty damn easy to live with, they don't actually contribute anything to the TV show that is being made...and so that's pretty much why they're an undeserving winner. If you contribute next to ****** all to the show, you don't deserve to win. That's it, pretty much. A lot of viewers need to realise that we aren't living with them ourselves, it's often those that look difficult to live with for the housemates that need to stay for the benefit of the show...if they had an easy ride what actually would be happening that would make the show interesting and entertaining?

I couldn't live with Sallie, but was I living with her? No...I was watching her on TV, and housemates like her are much better value to a TV show than housemates like Sam who may as well not even bothered turning up.

It's a pretty obvious answer.

Drew. 20-08-2013 12:28 AM

most of their replies is that he was a "lovely guy" and not a great housemate.. the ones that backed Dexter to win all said hes been a great housemate and along with Gina they made the show.

Agreed again jet, also though clearly the public who take the time and spend money to vote thought the same and they were not in the house, they were the ones watching the series.

So on near all fronts Sam was the desired winner.

the_answers 20-08-2013 12:32 AM

Found it bit strange Gina said last night they might never see each other again.
But then said he's her joint best friend or something ?

Yeah must be charity I guess.

So funny you keep trying to defend it all, even though it's all over.
It's almost like you've won but don't like others thinking something else.
Hilarious !
Enjoy your hollow victory.

How do you know they didn't find him entertaining? I think they DID. Just because he wasn't involved in nasty drama's that were on the whole what was shown on the H/L's doesn't mean THEY knew he wasn't featured that much when being funny and entertaining. They didn't SEE the H/L's!
And he WON! Even though he wasn't involved in the nastiness and slyness.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

GypsyGoth 20-08-2013 12:42 AM

Sam didn't really have that much competition in there to be honest, if you think about it he won without even seeming to try hard.

Both Gina & Dex showed themselves to be manipulative and sometimes spiteful. That type of behaviour was never going to be rewarded by the voting public. In fact standing beside them in the final, it made Sam's light seem brighter.

JTM45 20-08-2013 12:42 AM

When was Dexter EVER spiteful ?:conf:

the_answers 20-08-2013 12:44 AM

If it was the nice guy vote (which I doubt !), Sam was no "nicer" than the twins or Charlie..
Even if she was a right pain.

They knew he'd get the sympathy vote. That's all.

Hope that helps. ;)

What are you talking about, did the public vote for Sam to win or not, Did Sam actually win or not.

I'm Defending what, Sam won on the show I watched, and just as jet said in the op, the housemates wanted him to win and I added that the voting public made him win.
Think what you like, I couldn't care what you think and since you always disagree with me anyway,I cannot see why you even raise points with me.
It was jet,I replied to, not you so where you are coming from is totally beyond me at all.

Quite frankly it is more likely you are just a sore loser and it is you that in fact doesn't treat others opinions with respect.

Remember when him and Callum were standing back to back, and there was something they had to smash in front of them to claim a prize, but if neither smashed it they both would win.

In the last few second he smashed his, that was done out of spite and to get one up on Callum.

In fact a lot of Dex's worst behaviour came out when he was attempting to get one up on Callum.

Funny, was under the impression the whole point of the thread was questioning others about THEIR thoughts.

Glad you've made the real point now though.
If it's just about celebrating at least you can do it on you own now.
And we'll just ignor it because we don't even care anymore.

Videostar 20-08-2013 01:04 AM

Because they are full of BS and being politically correct...Dexter being the only honest one of the lot. :D

jet 20-08-2013 01:09 AM

I have to laugh when all along it was Dexter that was going for the SYMPATHY vote, not Sam.
Having mini nervous breakdowns when he was saved from eviction - his "I only wanted to be liked" "I've never had a friend". The scene with Dan where he sat in the corner and cried because 'he had never had a friend' and he felt rejected by Dan.
And you think SAM was after the sympathy vote. Give me a break!!
Dexter played you all and he succeeded - but NOT with the public!
