maybe the welsh are just nicer ?
I know generalising has been banned by political correctness, but we do it for the 300 million americans, why not the 3 million Welsh?
The welsh housemates, always seem to send in very nice consistent housemates, yes some have been dull at times. But overall very solid decent people. They could well continue to dominate the show unless the other nations up their game. Game playing is dead. The best way forward for potential winners, is yes to be entertaining, funny, eccentric, probably a hard luck story, but bulimia and eating disorders I suspect people have got bored of hearing about. but not to have a see through shallow game plan that can be worked out in 5 minutes. In the case of sam. he didn't have a game plan other than to be himself. Although his joke skills were a clever trick to have in the bag. The only real strategy is to be yourself without revealing yourself totally. Sounds simple its not that easy for 10 weeks with cameras watching everything. well done sam, worthy winner this year imo. |
Stop generalising!

lol I'm sure there are loads of very nice Welsh people but I'm also sure there are loads of very horrible Welsh people too, the Producers imo are just picking very similar people (or people with a similar temperament) for some strange reason
|
I perceive Rachel Rice and Sam Evans as two of the most horrible housemates in Big Brother history.

I beg to differ, he did have a gameplan which he admitted to which was to keep his head down. He said this himself so it is not speculation. Also as soon as Vanessa Feltz said he was boring, he managed to jump of the fence, confront Dexter about numerous things that didn't really concern him, and declare his feelings for Gina, so I really don't think with hand on heart you can say he didn't have a gameplan, but he won and good luck to him. |

She told the truth, Sam was stung by it and immediately changed his strategy. |

I seem to recall a bunch of people on here complaining about the way he was being 'aggressive' towards dexter at the time. People have such short memories and seemingly selective blindness. Also: the business about him declaring his true feelings for Gina. Gina's response when asked about it during the exit interview was that 'everybody knew' that he fancied her. He clearly waited until the end of the show to voice it (under the influence of alcohol) because to do so earlier would have created discomfort within the house. As he said, she has a boyfriend - not like anything would happen, nor would he have wanted to push it, given he's a decent lad (that's my reading of it anyway). So, everybody knew it, yet we saw very little about that in the HL shows. |

I'm sure there are very nice people in Wales. :)
Such a pity Lager Lout Sam isn't one of them, eh? |
Sam and nice don't go in the same sentence. He's an arrogant tosser.

The welsh are great people and far from boring.
Proud to live beside them in the British Isles. |

Maybe but I dont see why people are concentrating on nationality.
Luke A should have never won despite him being a nice guy. His 2 teammates were in the final - Deana, one of my favourite female HMs, and Adam, an even nicer guy who offered a little bit more in my opinion. The only reason he got the win is because he is transgender. |
