Sam could have still won if it was a VTS series.

Sam wasn't up until week 6 and would have likely beaten Sophie in the Safe House twist, I think Dan would have been his biggest competition.

Pretty sure Sam would have been evicted over Sophie and Dan back then in a VTS.

Yep. Sam was still asleep at that point! ;)

TheManWhoLaughs 20-08-2013 02:33 PM

Sophie would have definitely gone then. Sam actually has a fanbase, Sophie doesn't.

Just because someone's boring doesn't mean they won't get loads of votes in a vote-to-save. The "big character" in BB Australia in the first eviction this year only got 22% of the public vote to save while the bland pretty boy got 38% :(

He would have gone in a VTS over Dan and Sophie at least those two had done something in the house by then hence Dan left on VTE imo.

Nah, Sophie would have been gone I reckon

Sorry love, don't kid yourself. He'd of been gone in Week 6.

That's easy to say now - we have to remember back then Sophie was more liked than Sam, and Dan had a huge following aswell.

Definitely, infact he would've been gone if they'd picked Jack & Joe over Dan.

mmmm, maybe, I think they had similar following though tbh, they both had that nice and sweet thing going on

Scream 20-08-2013 03:11 PM

Think Sam would've won either way

Sophie was well-liked if rather invisible whilst Sam was a complete non-entity at that point. Also I think Dan would have stole any 'good-looking guy' votes from Sam and Sophie would have gained votes 'to keep the girl in' since at that point 4 had been evicted in a row.

Vicky. 20-08-2013 03:36 PM

I think he would have gone in the safehouse week, and then Dan would have won.

Do you think so? I wouldn't have minded that, I quite liked Dan in there

Yup. Dan was really popular. It was just a shame he was up against two bores.

Don't care how many people start threads praising Sam, fact is the vast majority of people who have followed Big Brother this year and in previous years were shocked to the core last night by seeing such an undeserving winner of BB.

They may as well just drawn lots on launch night and saved people wasting their money voting on this rubbish.......!!!

Clearly Sam does not have the personality or people skills or game playing skills or life skills , nor is he funny or humerous or loud, on the contary he was invisible most of the time and barely coherent for the remainder.

By winning he has destroyed the show as now there are no obvious criterion for winning the show........I don't knowwhat else to say ....I'm stumped.........!!!!

I agree, On launch night myself and a few others on here said what would happen regarding housemate Sam. Sam went straight to fav on day 1 even before the show had ended. The crucial question is why??? None of us knew him well enough to root for him, all we knew about Sam was that he had a hearing problem. He defo got the sympathy vote from the off for some condition he's had long before walking through the big brother doors. And that is something people will never admit to on here because it is implausable for someone so genuine and nice to even consider that they might just use their disability in such a disshonesty way to get sypmathy and monetary gain on national tv.

In week 6; 13% wanted Dan to win, 7.9% wanted Sam to win and 4% wanted Sophie to win.

I think he would have stayed regardless too.

Vicky. 20-08-2013 05:06 PM

The Sam support only ramped up when Dexter and Gina started acting up a bit/lost a bit of popularity. He quickly became an 'anti' vote due to being the most popular with the bookies besides them. I still think this is the main reason he won, just to stop either of them winning.. I say, if Dan stayed, he would have got the 'anti' vote, plus votes from genuine fans and would have won easily.
