They tried a scheme like this a year or so back because Rotherham Town centre has to compete with a retail park a mere mile away and then Meadowhall on the border with Sheffield.

It's a nightmare scenario for RMBC.

Yes they showed that
Special shops not like Chain stores is the way forward.
Rotherham Town Centre used
as a Example for others to follow.
