Dexters gamble

I strongly believe that dexter's gamble on taking the money cost him the win.

after bb revealed the twist the other housemates shot him down and he had no, get out of jail cards left up his sleeve.

Quite possibly!

although most of his fans noticed the Twins got away scott free with their attempt to take the cash, the thought must have crossed their minds that it was a lie at any rate.

Do you think a lot off his fans deserted him for it?

no, but I think a lot of floating watchers gave their vote to sam.

camertone 22-08-2013 07:42 AM

gina's former fans voted for sam.

joeysteele 22-08-2013 07:45 AM

I think what really lost him this series was the Charlie connection in the main and it was really doubtful as to whether he was going to win it anyway.
Just even from those I talked to, who liked him from the start, one of whom was myself too,we just got sick of the Charlie and Dexter conversations and the boring highlights, especially in the later weeks of them both.

He did to his full credit, survive a lot of eviction battles but he wasn'y always first one saved so he was always in the pot to possibly go.

I don't think it was necessarily the choice of the lowest amount that really turned some against him.
I do though think his defence of saying he 'didn't see' the higher figures came across as incredibly unbelievable so that more than likely had more to do with a loss of support than had he really just been choosing the smallest amount.
Also of course,Charlie exposed him on that one bigtime too when she questioned how he couldn't have seen the higher figure since she was last in to choose and she even managed to.

I think you are on to something there, I was watching the final with others and once Gina came out and the lines re-opened to vote for the last 2, those who supported Gina gave a few votes for Sam.

Cherie 22-08-2013 08:15 AM

Once Gina came out there was very little time left to vote, it is more likely that voters who liked both only supported one, thus splitting the vote, if Gina or Dexter had left 5th or 4th, I think the result would have been different,if they don't release the voting percentages, we will never know for sure.

Wrong. His involvement with crafty, manipulative Charlie cost him the win - it exasperated the public.

nevermind. it got him a girlfriend. ;)

smudgie 22-08-2013 08:49 AM

Personally, I thought he lost because he was..as Matt Johnson put it, a Dickhead.:joker:

Kyle 22-08-2013 08:51 AM

It was the Martians. When their own person Gina was booted they had to change their vote so they went for Sam.

Charlie and Dexter? That will last long :joker:

Or did you mean you?

Withano 22-08-2013 01:08 PM

I think so too. He went from my 2nd favourite to 5th that week, I'm sure Dexter fans went off him too.

Especially the 15 minute votes between Sam vs Dexter, people who liked neither would prefer Sam because of Dexters actions that night.

Vanessa 22-08-2013 01:09 PM

I don't mind at all. At least he's happy.
