Those are just UK figures, One Direction have had a lot of global success whereas others near the top of that list (Olly Murs, JLS et al) haven't really. I would imagine that Leona has still sold more, though, as she's fairly well known globally too and has been around longer.

I'd be interested to know where Will Young and Girls Aloud would rank in that list; I'm assuming they're not included because they were Pop Idol / Popstars. I know there are different people involved but let's face it... The X Factor is just a continuation of those shows.
