What really annoys me about him is his totally fake, put on, ghetto accent?! Why does he have to speak like that?

Turkish dad and Irish mother. The "Jafaken" accent is cultivated.... just like Gina's posh one.

But can he actually speak properly if he wants or is he stuck with that annoying accent with I loath hearing?

I think when someone had been speaking like that for so long it becomes "normal" for them. In times of stress however the original accent may come through.

Let's hope then that he drops the silly accent because listening to people speaking like that simply does my head in. I think schools should be stamping it out along with words like "innit" and "are you joking me", terrible phrases.
