Would you ever have cosmetic surgery?

I'd have veneers definitely

RichardG 25-08-2013 02:06 AM

No

It's not worth the risk. I plan on having as little surgery as possible in my life time, i'm not going to voluntarily have more than necessary just so I can look like Rylan Clark. :joker:

not for aesthetics, no.

I'd like Botox on my frown line, a tummy tuck, a breast reduction, liposuction on my thighs, my bingo wings sliced off, and my vagina reduced...

Jk.. I think growing old gracefully is admirable.. And if there's anything you're really really unhappy with, there's ways to fix it without surgery.. People need to accept the way they look and realise that good health is waaaay more important than looking like a celeb/Essex lad/Geordie shore lass/other fake looking twat

..I would never have any surgery out of choice...

Won't Dave miss the echo? I thought he used it to find out exactly where you are in the dark. Sort of like a bat.

Depends what is meant by cosmetic surgery really. I have veneers on my top front teeth. But I had a problem with porous enamel that meant my teeth just wouldn't stay clean looking, no matter how often I cleaned them or had them done at the dentist. I also had quite uneven teeth and it was leading to an uneven bite. The veneers were partly to counter the impact on my self-confidence of having teeth I didn't want to show in a smile, and partly to improve the stability of my teeth and provide the protection that would have naturally been there had the enamel been stronger.

That's about the limit of what I would have done though. I don't much like my nose, but it would never cross my mind to have it surgically altered. I have lines on my face, partly because I am in my early 40s, but also because I have spent a lifetime using steroid creams for chronic eczema. I would never consider botox. Nor a facelift come to that.

I don't think I'd want anything that fundamentally altered what I looked like. For good or ill, this is who I am. But, as with the teeth, I'd probably have work to correct something that had changed or gone wrong. If I were to have an accident that scarred, I might consider work to remove the scarring.
