Did Courtney bully Lauren last night for the $lut comment?

There was a clip last night where courtney was lying on the sofa...and in conversation with someone ( the geordie foul mouthed chav one i think)...she said " I would never make fun of trans-genders/sexuals or something along those lines...and then turned to the other girl and laughed..

Lauren didn't seem happy at all..and for a moment it felt like bullying..

Shame because I think Courtney has been really sweet so far but does she have a nasty interior beneath the mesmerizing exterior..

I don't think so. They made up now anyway.

you seem like a big fan!

Bullying? Good God no. Such a tossed around word nowadays, she was just explaining that she wouldn't judge somebody in the first instance no matter their appearence.

Niamh. 27-08-2013 01:20 PM

I guess she was annoyed that someone she considered to be a friend would call her slutty. I don't see how it was bullying?

I like her. She's funny, sweet and eccentric. That is why she gets on so well with Lauren. They're both quite flamboyant.

Bullying may be defined as the activity of repeated, aggressive behaviour intended to hurt another person, physically or mentally. Bullying is characterised by an individual behaving in a certain way to gain power over another person

Why is this constantly hurled at HMs without even thinking what the word means?

without a doubt, but she's one of the few genuine cases of bullying in all the years I think

That was one of the worst cases of Group Bullying and was seen as such at the time.

daniel-lewis-1985 27-08-2013 01:36 PM

Does the word bully really have any meaning left seeing as members on here fling it about daily about anything and everything.

This was not bullying.

Did you think it was bullying by them kind of looking giggly and nervous over the trans thing which was made after Lauren had said Courtney dressed like a slut?

Not bullying I think the word you're looking for is rude or uncomfortable.

Benji_ 27-08-2013 01:43 PM

The only bullying that has been classed as bullying BB was 3 situations as far as I can remember.

1. Jade Goody and Shilpa Shetty
2. Shahbaz gate
3. Last year with the Insiders bullying the Outsiders

brucie 27-08-2013 01:43 PM

shahbaz was bullied and even deana..

also freddie was bullied by that lesbian skinhead tea addict lisa from birmingham...with the tatoos who hadn't worked for 'years' and was proud of it

Benji_ 27-08-2013 01:45 PM

Deana, Luke A, Adam and Lauren were bullied like hell last year..:(

That's not true, she was unemployed at the time like a hell of a lot of people were and I don't think it was for years either I have her on FB and she's working now

Josy 27-08-2013 01:49 PM

not surprised you have her on facebook...

her VT involved getting up at midday, drinking tea...a bit of internet to fill out the job seekers claim, meeting fellow tramps for tea, telly...dinner, a bit of facebook then bed...

and the routine was repeated daily..

Yes well, She does have a job at the moment and has done for a long while. Most people have FB and go on it everyday, what's so outrageous about that? As far as I can remember she had had a job for years but the factory closed down, she wasn't a great HM, granted, but you're making out she was some kind of scrounger who never worked a day in her life, which isn't true

her VT displayed her as a workshy jobless skinhead with tatoos and who later went on to bully freddie badly..

she had a lot of issues and bullied freddie due to his education and wealth...

did you even watch the series?

No I never watched the series and I don't have her on FB either and she doesn't have a job now, I must be lying...........

Marsh. 27-08-2013 02:13 PM

No, but she was incredibly passive aggressive.

Claiming to understand the comment but continuing to bring it up with little comments and hints.

She should have just come out with it instead of being so childish about it.

Tut Tut!...my, your p.c halo seems to be slipping a bit there Brucie!...that description of Lisa was every bit as distasteful as anything that Big Ron said the other night! ...It's true that good old Halfwit was the victim of some blatant and nasty bullying for most of his stay in the BB house!...but it was by no means only Lisa that was guilty! :nono:

Anyway...back to Courtney "bullying" Lauren ...I can actually see why you got that impression, but in my view though there was no bullying going on at all,...there was a kind of discreet 'clearing of the air' being played out between the 'very underestimated Courtney' and Lauren!
To my mind it was clear that the whole coded conversation was about Courtney informing Lauren that she wasn't to be taken as a mindless bimbo....and could quite easily stand up for herself! ...and demonstrated this by hinting that her initial impression of Lauren was that "she looked like some kind of weirdo...but was too nice to say so!"

...and it was also clear to me that Lauren also understood it this way, and decided to either 'Knuckle-under and let her have it', or 'Save it for a more opportune time"!

...And do you know what?...i've a feeling that these two are going to pair up and become real friends, and a force in the house!

Cheers.
