How big is your TV?

Inspired by the Jamie Oliver comment, I was just wondering how big the main TV was in your home?

I'm not a fan of huge TV's as I hate them being the focal point of the room, I was given a 32in but I preferred my old 26in screen.
10yrs ago tellys were more or less uniform in most houses so why the fashion for monster televisions?

Drew. 29-08-2013 02:41 AM

Think ours is a 32inch

Novo 29-08-2013 02:48 AM

40inch downstairs, i prefer smaller TVs as well though unless i am watching Films, was going to buy a big one for my room a few weeks ago but just got a 22inch Smart TV in the end

AnnieK 29-08-2013 07:34 AM

40 inch downstairs which is great for films etc....we've just mounted on the wall too which I really didnt want but at least the big daft cabinet thing it was stood on has gone so I have more room now. We also have a projector and screen to but hardly ever use it as its too much faffing about but again films and the football look great on it.

Smaller ones upstairs and in the kitchen.

I have a 32" 28" and 27" are my main 3

Yes around 27" is good enough,

billy123 29-08-2013 07:53 AM

Mine is 42" it cost me a lot less than my previous 28" crt telly that i had for 10 years until it broke.
Jamie Oliver is an ignorant pretentious prick that makes money indulging the type of people that read the daily mail and want something to see/read that makes them feel better about their own existence.

40 inch in the back room for the football. 37 in front room,

28 inch up stairs and a old 21 inch which I quite like. plus 12 inch portable. We are TV rich.:joker:

Ehhhh.. my parents have a massive TV in the living room but they're the only ones who use it - my brother has a TV through the back that he uses to play Xbox on, my parents have a small one in their room and I have a small TV that I use extremely rarely to watch DVDs on... Not a TV person at all haha

Jake. 29-08-2013 08:35 AM

42 inch (I think) in the front, 32 inch in my room and 25 in my mums room, something like that

MTVN 29-08-2013 08:59 AM

Our main one is 22", can remember when we got it thought it was really big but seems pretty small now

Niamh. 29-08-2013 09:00 AM

Upstairs we have a 32" and the downstairs one is a little bigger, 35" is coming into my head but that sounds wrong, is there such a thing?

T* 29-08-2013 09:57 AM

32" in my room.

Princess 29-08-2013 10:36 AM

The one in the sitting room is pretty massive, we actually got a bit of our wall carved off to fit it in. The other one is smaller than that and the one upstairs is the smallest. I feel like getting a measuring tape now and checking.

Redway 29-08-2013 10:38 PM

jackc1806 29-08-2013 10:43 PM

42inch Living room, 32inch, 32 inch and 22inch upstairs

Amy Jade 29-08-2013 10:44 PM

52" in the living room, I have a 32" in my bedroom

Redway 29-08-2013 10:45 PM

That said, though, I'm not so keen on plasma-screen televisions pinned high up on the wall. It gives my neck serious strain trying to look up. :bored:

GypsyGoth 29-08-2013 10:46 PM

I mostly hangout in the living room and the tv here is about 30 inches. There is another one simlar to it in the dining room and then there is a small one in the spare room.

Kizzy 29-08-2013 11:21 PM

This is a pic of what humans will look like in the future, they need big eyes to watch big tellys
