RIP to the great Cliff Morgan

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-23882640

Just in case some of you don't know him....well shame on you

Heres just 1 clip of his majestic commentary on probably the greatest try ever scored
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwCbG4I0QyA

Cliff Morgan was firstly 1 of the greatest rugby players of all time
He was majestic for Wales, but also for the British Lions and captained the lions to win a test in south Africa when he scored the winning try too
as a player he was a genius

BUT theres a lot more

He then became the head of BBC broadcasting, he is the man who started Grandstand, question of sport in which he also starred, he covered all major british sports programmes as head of broadcasting too

BUT theres more

He was the sole man in charge of other massive tv events including the royal wedding of Charles and Diana

But theres more

He also became the best rugby commentator of all time and for anyone who loves sport, who loves wordsmiths and the poetry of a great occasion, then Id suggest you enjoy this

He formed choirs, he played the trumpet and piano to professional degree....not bad for a poor lad from the rhondda valleys who was sent down the coal pit in his teens and had a stroke at age 42.

He taught des lynam and many more all the he knew, he was beloved, admired and respected by everyone and the most modest man ever.

Id strongly suggest you try BBC Wales tonight for his life tribute 10.40pm
Thank you Cliff you were a gentleman and a scholar:wavey:

He was superficially a bit like David Frost, who passed away too over the w/e.
