I'm i the only one who sees that sophie is jealous of young courtney?
 

I mean even Courtney said she gives er intimidating looks. That's bloody scary.
When sophie was nominating her, she mentioned that shes 19, and shes a young adult. Yet later on, she said to carol about Charlotte "you have to remember carol shes only 22" lol.

Sophie doesn't like her, I don't really think she is jealous of her, and after a week of Courtney doing nothing, I'm not really getting the love for her.

Of course shes jealous of her, Courtney was actually 18 when she said only 19 btw. Shes 19 now though.

There were more than Sophie nominated Courtney and basically all for the same reasons, she is messy and untidy and does very little. Sophie has no reason whatsoever to be jealous of Courtney nor Courtney of Sophie. Obviously Courtney doesn't care much for Sophie either. I could see that nomination coming. They are the two models in the house and I never thought no matter how much difference is in their age that they would be friends. Sophie has become very close to Charlotte and Mario and really likes Vicky also. Obviously she is more popular with her other housemates than Courtney as she only received 2 nominations while Courtney got 3 or 4

When they had to do the skills task and Sophie did her catwalk she looked miffed when Courtney did the same and Courtney is skinnier. If there is one things models hate is girls skinnier than them, so yes she's jealous.

Anyone who is non biased and has eyes can see she is jealous.

I didn't get the impression she was mad jealous of her during the catwalk thing. I got the impression she was disgusted by the marriage theme, given her opinion of Courtney's marriage.

I think she dislikes her. I think she has quite a low opinion of her.


But jealous? I don't see it.

Maybe I'd find it easier to see if every time a female housemate doesn't like another female housemate, there wasn't a chorus of people saying it's down to jealousy.

It is possible for a woman to just really dislike another woman. Yes, even if by your reckoning said woman is prettier or younger.

There are lots of things about Courtney that could give Sophie reason to dislike her.

It is also possible she feels like this is the person who is her greatest competition, given they're both models and Courtney is younger. But that doesn't necessarily translate into jealousy. She may feel like her toes have been trodden on, and may have expected to be the only model in the house. That isn't the same thing as jealousy.

Ask Sophie, cause she blatantly is... she hated her from minute 1.

Basically Courtney knows more LA people than Sophie and is younger and more popular than Sophie. Ergo sophie hates her.

Lets not forget Sophie is just a jumped up lingerie model with an ex coke habit, she was never and never will be a supermodel. I doubt the likes of Naomi campbell even remembers who she was.

Just because she hates her doesn't mean she is jealous of her. There is nothing to be jealous of.

Sophie is about twice Courtney's age. Sophie thought she'd be the skinniest, models by and large are competitively skinny. She really won't like seeing Courtney's slim figure upstaging her. Remember, Sophie nominated her in the cult of celeb before she met her.

Absolutely. It's painfully obvious. I noticed that Sophie zeroed in on Courtney from day ONE. She saw her and knew she'd get lots of camera time, therefore, get rid of her! Also, I believe that Sophie is envious of her youth, and the fact that once Louie set eyes on Courtney, he was like a bee to honey, effectively "abandoning" her.

You can't hate someone you don't know imo or havent spoken too. The only thing that can make you hate them is pure jealousy. She didnt even wait for Courtney to start talking to everyone she straight away hated her which if you have common sense would obviously imply jealousy. Then now shes trying to use how she acts like a child when shes 19 as an excuse. But then later she tells carol about Charlotte when she was blantely acting like a child crying (which sophie apparently hates courtney for) saying remember carol shes only 22.

I disagree with that. People take instant dislikes to other people for a thousand and one different reasons. It's equally possible she looked at Courtney's massive breast implants and baby doll beauty, put it together with her childhood marriage and came to the conclusion she's completely shallow and self-obsessed.

People make snap judgements of others all the time. We go through life taking likes and dislikes to other people for myriad reasons, some meaningful, and some utterly erroneous.

I agree and disagree with what your saying. Yes you can hate one thing about someone. Like i could say ugh.. I hate your hairstyle but that in no way would bring me to hate you as a person? When i havent even seen your personality with the human eye? Or even had a conversation with you?

Sophie seems to dislike that Courtney has breast implants. And it seems that has automatically made sophie hate Courtney overall which is disappointing. Courtney got those implants so she can flaunt it if she wants. She payed for it.

Hate is a strong word. I don't think Sophie 'hates' Courtney. Dislikes and wants out, and maybe, ok, given the way she makes her living, jealous...but I don't get any impression her views are in any way strong enough to be considered 'hate'.

It would be stupid to hate someone for a single impression, when you don't know them. But we, as people take likes and dislikes to others all the time. We all do it. We make snap judgements which are then proved or disproved by interaction. That's why all interview coaching tells us that the biggest thing to succeeding in an interview is making a good first impression. Because it's actually quite difficult to overturn a bad one.

Everybody has something that someone else can find off putting. Someone who seems adorable to one person, may seem to be putting on a little girl routine to another. Someone who is kind and sweet to one person, may seem to be faking niceness to another.

Neither of us are inside Sophie's head, so neither of us know why she took an instant dislike to the girl.


Your comparison with Charlotte is interesting. Because there are a lot of people who really like Charlotte, but don't like Courtney (and vice versa)

Liking is a subjective thing. You can do everything in your power to make a good impression with someone and they can still take a dislike to you because of whateverthe****goesoninsidetheirhead...
