Amazing how many people are being conned by Lauren

On BBOTS a few years ago she was an attention-seeking brat who was nasty and vicious to Aaron when he won (saying it was like the devil had won when he won the show).

She is playing the manipulative emotional bully all the time in the house, guilt-tripping Courtney if she does anything Lauren doesn't like, as well as well-timed trips to the diary room to talk about how lonely her life is and playing the victim card with Sophie and others.

She is a narcissistic manipulator who can't stand the thought that anyone doesn't like her = hence her ridiculous reaction to Ron's fairly mild comments about her yesterday.

If there's something I can't stand it's people who keep using the sympathy card to gain support and Lauren's whole time on the show is nothing but that. It is one long guilt trip, which the public are being brainwashed into journeying on. Very disappointing that so many people cannot see through this woman.

It really would be a travesty if she wins but unless the public wake up from their delusion, it looks like she might.

I just think she's loopy tbh.Not all there.

That's what she wants you to think and I'll give her this, she is acting very well indeed - conning a lot of people.

Jord 31-08-2013 02:37 AM

There's no way she is manipulating people. When she was doing appearances on BOTS she would show up for a few hours then go home. She's locked up in a house without contact to the outside world and I genuinely believe the Lauren we are seeing now is the real Lauren.

in which case she is a dangerous and unhinged narcissist. It's not good either way.

Unhinged? Yeah. "Conning" the public/playing a game? No chance

Ammi 31-08-2013 05:18 AM

..it's odd how when people like someone, they're being 'conned'..maybe they just like her...

JTM45 31-08-2013 06:34 AM

It's just lucky there's superior intellects like yourself here to pass your definitive judgement on people's credibility as housemates and general human beings then isn't it.
Phew!!! It's lucky you've stepped up to warn people about her in time so they don't end up making right idiots of themselves.

I just don't know how people here managed to think for themselves before you arrived here! Thank you so much for the invaluable service you provide for all of us forum members who aren't quite as smart as yourself.

Its Courtney I feel sorry for. Lauren knows what she is doing imo. Last nights HL's highlited that. When Courtney 'won' a slumber party, first thing Lauren said was 'well i'd quite like to go' and then repeated over and over 'just take your best friend, your best friend in the house'. Which Courtney has told her she is on at least one occasion. If anything I think Lauren is using Courtney.

Ammi 31-08-2013 06:42 AM

..wow hostile...why is it 'smart' to assume that people might just like her, rather than they're just susceptible to being 'conned'...there are and have been lots of housemates that I can't find any positive qualities in but respect that other people see them differently and don't assume they're being conned in any way...

Verbal 31-08-2013 06:43 AM

People saying she is on the verge of a breakdown etc. is just another now infamous TiBB overreaction. If anyone is on the verge of a breakdown, its quite a few posters on here.

..it's odd that you find it amusing when members are insulted and yet take such offence when certain housemates are...but each to their own..

..people's opinions on whether she has emotional issues because of her intense attachment to Courtney after such a short time are no more of an 'overreaction' than assuming people are being 'conned' because they like her...is there any chance of you concentrating on housemates rather than insulting members anytime soon..

I don't doubt for a second, in my totally unqualified opinion that she has emotional issues. But, again in my totally unqualified opinion she is not on the verge of a breakdown.

BBUKAUSFAN 31-08-2013 06:50 AM

i find is difficult to watch Lauren tbh, makes me wanna switch off.

also i don't think anyone is conned, as you would have heard the crowds chants when her name was called.

Ammi 31-08-2013 06:51 AM

..my opinion is just as unqualified, just an opinion..and there really is never any reason to insult people for what they think...

Hardly an insult, it was just a very sarcastic reply. Which I find funny. How's the horse doing ? He must have tired legs from being so tall.

Ammi 31-08-2013 06:55 AM

..yeah but not so funny when these things are said about housemates you like..anyway, carry on..I don't ride much these days...

That would be Courtney

Patricia4 31-08-2013 07:17 AM

..I find that quite interesting..(and that's not meant to be provocative..)..but just that I find Courtney equally as 'damaged' as Lauren..I also like her though, in fact more than I like Lauren..I'm not sure that I really like Lauren as such but I don't dislike her either in that I think her whole past and things she's had to overcome to be herself have left her very 'damaged'...I do also think that Courtney has seen a little of that 'kindred spirit' in Lauren which is probably one of the reasons she befriended her but because Lauren hasn't had many friends before she's become extremely stifling and attached and Courtney understandably is finding that difficult but because she's a kind hearted person, doesn't really know how to handle it..I guess that's where the other housemates could help her, rather than just criticise Lauren..in fairness to Charlotte, she did recognise that, which shows wisdom from her...just my opinion of course...
