why is Tevez still rated at 86 :conf2: was puzzled by this the other day when playing 13...

So Suarez stays the same rating as Fifa 13 despite being about 10 times better last season... Ok then.

And Tevez's rating is about right, he is still brilliant.

i dont think the overall ratings matter too much anymore.. Mario Gomez is a 86 but he's utter wank, there are players with an overall rating of 75 that are better than him. It all depends on the individual stats and how that player moves/controls.

These ratings mean nothing. The real list wouldn't contain Van Persie, Vidic and Fabregas etc or anyone else who's real life strengths aren't pace and strength as this is all the current engine accomodates for, unfortunately. A major revamp is needed.

That and overalls don't matter whatsoever. They are completely irrelevant.

His overall in 13 was rather crap, yet he was quite good to control. It's the individual stats that matter.

Stats tend to deceive in this flawed game.

Pogba was updated half way through the year.. became a beast on fifa

tbf the idea of having one stat that completely sums up a players ability is crazy. The individual stats are always going to be more important regardless of how they average out that one overall number.

Thought they updated him. Not sure of his stats at all so the ones I linked are probably outdated.

It's probably for the younger players. I'm not trying to sound snobbish there. It's just, if you're 12 years old you're just going to look for the highest figure. Maybe look for how fast they are.

i basically build my squads on their dribbling, finishing, pace and 4/5 star skill moves.. couldnt care about their overalls

EA say that FIFA 14 will be more about building through midfield. I wish. Probably more EA BS. Like ping pong passing is still hugely evident.

the ping pong passing and pace abusing sides just **** me off.. thats what ultimate team is all about atm. Only really played seasons on 13 but hopefully UT will be improved on 14

Ultimate Team will probably see no improvement. It's EA's biggest cash cow. Plus it helps pay reviewers.

As annoying as the ping pong passing and pace abusing is... everybody does it as, even if not intentional, that's the engine for you. It's the A.I. that pisses me off the most.

Also a shame the legends on Ultimate Team are exclusive to the One. I'd probably grow sick of UT as always, but wouldn't of minded trying out the legends. Although, people will charge ridiculous amounts for them with them seemingly going to be rare.
