Courtneys body issues

Of course I know its an individuals choice to have a baby or not but I was saddened at Courtneys reason for not wanting a baby. She is terrified her body will be ruined and I think its awful that she is so hung up about it. I realise Courtney is only 19 though and in time may change her mind when she matures. I think it best that a woman can develop a willingness to view bodily changes as part of the journey into motherhood, it shouldn't be something to be feared. I also noticed that whilst talking to Lauren about it she really seemed to think that her body will stay just as it is as she gets older and that just isn't the case unless of course she went down the dangerous anorexic path and I sincerely hope she doesn't go there when her body does begin the natural development of make curves. A womans curves should be celebrated not feared. Lauren was talking a lot of sense about body changes but Courtney really didn't want to take it on board. Last night I found Courtney just like a little girl who doesn't want to grow up. I hope as she gets older that she will embrace her new body.

I agree about Courtney's body issues being sad, but don't really expect anything else from someone her age having lead the kind of life she's had where it's all about her looks and youth and nothing else. It may or may not change.

However, I don't think there's anything wrong with not wanting to give birth overall. It's not a walk in the park after all. The world has too many people in it as it is and there's an overabundance of unwanted children that need parents, so I see some people choosing adopting over having their biological kids as a positive thing.

It's not unusual for girls of 19 to struggle to imagine themselves as mothers, my daughter would rather gouge out her eyes at the moment...... thank god!

Interesting how her 'fans' on here don't want to address the obvious issues the girl has with her body. She is an insecure mess and only values herself in an ornamental way - very sad for a young woman in the modern world when there are so many opportunities out there.

She clearly feels the need to attract male attention by looking like a Barbie doll and wants men to lust after her constantly. What she fails to understand is that she is too thin, which isn't very attractive, the hugh boobs on such a tiny frame look comical and cartoon-like and just make her look desperate and dim - a turn-off for a guy who can do better.

Any bloke worth having would want more to a woman than just looks, and quite frankly without the make-up she doesn't even have that. Maybe that is why she has settled for a rich old man, who is less likely to 'move on' once the novelty has worn off. An old man is more likely to be grateful for what he has.

Frankly I don't think she could provide the emotional stability a child would need anyway and she is best off not having children - unless age opens her eyes to the real world.

wow anyone want some lemon with their bitter?

Kizzy 08-09-2013 11:38 AM

It's been an education for her to get out of Hollywood, to experience life away from 'doug' who seems to be a rather smothering controlling Svengali from what I've seen.

daniel-lewis-1985 08-09-2013 11:39 AM

Shes 19.

What average 19 year old even wants a child, her opinion will change as she gets older probably.

Everyone keeps saying she is 19 - but didn't someone on there say she is actually 23. Not another American wannabee lying about her age then.

I dont remember her saying she was terrified having a baby would ruin her body, what i did hear her say was she is scared to give birth because she is so little which is a different thing.

Are you the only one allowed to be cynical then? Any woman doing the same has to be 'bitter' - really. Just the old speil to shut down any female criticism - not very original or intelligent btw.

I just think it's sad when so many young girls seem to celebrate brainless bimbos out to get what they want the easy way. Isn't there more to women these days?

My post was made after reading your original post on this thread which (in my opininion) is riddled with bitterness. Please don't turn this into some kind of feminist issue.
She is not brainless, she has the most attractive personality in there, again in my opinion.

Not having children for the sake of their bodies is something Hollywood actresses, models, singers etc. have done for generations.

I could go on but I can't be bothered.

She is 19.

She got married at 16 and the media would have looked into her background extensively to prove it when the story broke in America as it was such a massive media event there.

She was 100% 16 when she got married.

So attractive that she was quite happy to see the group suffer rather than wear a boiler suit for a while - what a little angel she is! Don't worry - I shall leave you to your delusions about her.

Her image is quite clearly very important to her, I think people would love her just as much if she walked about in a black bin bag, she is a likable girl and unless one is a shallow person most people see deeper than the outer self. As I see her Courtney has real insecurities about herself and it seems she needs to be seen as looking glamorous and sexy.

I agree, as I said in my earlier post, of course its an individual choice to have a child. I wouldn't think anything bad about a woman who chose not to have a child in life, its their life and up to them what they do with it. I wouldn't however like to think that a woman would not have a child because of worries that it may ruin their body. I do find that rather sad.

I agree she is insecure, but also very superficial. Lots of women are insecure about their looks, and most like to feel sexy - but don't feel the need to model themselves on a doll to get attention. I don't see why people try to make excuses for her.

She didn't like it when others accused her of being superficial and vain - but she is. She either doesn't understand the meaning of the word or she has absolutely no self awareness whatsoever. Personally, I think she knows exactly what she is doing - after all it got her a sugar daddy, and life long wealth.

I guess time will tell. I would certainly hope that the only reason for her not to have a child would be for fear of a changing body shape as she does seem to have a fear of that by what she said. She seemed shocked if thats the right word? when Lauren suggested her body would probably fill out and would eventually have curves.

Pincho Paxton 08-09-2013 02:35 PM

Having babies isn't important on an over-populated planet. More girls need to think like Courtney, it is the future.

anne666 08-09-2013 04:05 PM

She seems to have been exploited for most of her life. She doesn't know any other way to be. Her husband as she calls him, rarely uses his name is an out of work alcoholic and he seems to mould and exploit her to the full. The videos he has made are NOT those of a loving partner at all. She needs to get out and away from all of them and grow up naturally. She's too damaged to do that IMO.

Vanessa 08-09-2013 04:57 PM

She's only 19, so i'm not surprised. But i think it's wonderful that she wants to adopt.

alex_front2 08-09-2013 05:47 PM

Not all women fill out as they get older, I am a US size 0.

I agree entirely.

I do and I don't. Society has a twisted view on women's appearance overall and that' sad. But at the same time I don't think someone with body issues would necessarily cope very well with those kind of drastic body changes, so although the underlying cause of their anxiety sucks, it may be the best under the circumstances that they don't become pregnant but have kids some other way. But yeah, I think we're probably somewhere on the same page.
