With the show premiering next week, I'd figured I'd open the Audition thread.

Show is starting with a one hour launch on Wednesday 8/7c and a two hour ep on Thursday 8/7c.

Usually it's the other way around. I'm excited.

Looking forward to it.. really liked last series until David/Lyric 145/Jennel and Beatrice all got eliminated early on :sad: CeCe was never going to really go far, but she was still fantastic <3.

But yeah, I've seen a few spoilers, and there are a few acts I like, so we'll see how it goes.

Bumping this to remind people it's starts 8/7c US time. (The reason why it's one hour is because of the Masterchef finale.)

Wow, it was like a completely new show in a good way.

First instead of throwing the text right at you, they showed up in multiple colors.

Second, they decided to color code the catergories (Boys Blue, Girls Pink, Overs Yellow, Groups Green.) this was apparent in the way they showed the act's names as they were shown at the bottom of the screen (also color coded with the category they were in along with hometown, age and job) instead of the near the act.

Third, It's like the show has rebooted itself in a good way. Oh and Mario is narrating but there's still a little bit of the documentary style they used before.

Don't think we are going to get a series 4 after last nights ratings

Only six million watched last night . Two million down on the last years

I think they expected that, I think word of mouth will have to save the show.

Anyway I haven't seen the whole Auditions 2 ep but I think my favs so far are Alex & Sierra, Carlito, and The Subway Singer woman from last night.

Paulina is giving me life.

She really has no idea how everything works and she's totally not on this planet...I love her <3

The show still got 6 million viewers but it jumped up to 6.8 million but it still got 2.2 in the demo.

This show is relying on word of mouth and hopefully it shows even more next week.

I'm hoping Jorge Pena gets through. Hate figures are so good for ratings.

LOL Ellona Santiago (Who was the Filipino Gal in inTENsity) auditioned and made it through.

A new ad has shown up for the next week, Wednesday will be the last of the auditions and Thursday will be Cutting 100+ acts overall down to 10 per category and who has what category.

The Next week after will a new middle round replacing Bootcamp and JH called the 4 Chair Challenge, where each act will perform, if the mentor likes them they'll take a seat, if not the act will be eliminated. If all 4 seats are taken and the mentor wants to keep an act that has just performed, then the mentor must eliminate someone from the 4 seats.

I've just caught up with last weeks episodes. I keep forgetting about when it's on. But, oh my god, Danie Geimer:love:

Jorge Pena could possibly be the greatest X Factor contestant ever

I liked him too.

Demi, Paulina and Kelly over-reacted towards his personality.

I thought he was average and the personality just made things worse. I'm a guy I would've said no (Did Demi say no by the way? I think she did.)

Also the Four Chair Challenge looks intense.

Oh, last week the show only got 6.4 million. This week with it up against Survivor and Revolution. It got 7.4 Highest viewings so far this season.

I. Don't. Under. Stand. America.

Also there's going to be a weird video at the end of the 5th Auditions Episode. It's truely odd :joker:

Is the chair challenge similar to the new addition in the british version?

This is the first time i've watched this years, loved last years but stopped watching it when CeCe and Vino both got eliminated

yeah, 10 acts battling for 4 spots, We'll find out tonight who's through. (The acts will think they'll be experiencing Bootcamp too by the way.)

The US version will be different, the set looks intense and it's in a LA area Coliseum.

The show will be airing the 4 chair challenge for the next two weeks and then take a two week break for the Baseball World Series coverage (Show kept getting preempted for Baseball, so they decided not to bother with that this year) First Live is on Oct 29th, Top 16 with a results show on Oct 30th, Wonder if they'll be having the judges make the eliminations or leave it up to America (Please be America)

Thoughts on the top 40 and who got what category? This 4 chair challenge should be fun to watch.

Stone Martin getting into the top 10 over Jorge Pena:bored: That manufactured girl group looked so good together. I wanted Summer and Celine to get in anyway, but now with that thrasher girl they could be amazing. Lillie McCloud seems like such a cartoon character:laugh:

And I feel like they had such obvious Judge-Category links that they just ignored.
