So Lauren got to actually see her Mother , how unfair is that.

I totally agree with Charlotte.

fingers 09-09-2013 08:57 PM

She didn't even deny it!

Pincho Paxton 09-09-2013 08:57 PM

Charlotte is nuts.

Jennifereliza 09-09-2013 08:58 PM

She don't get to see her mum.

Why because she tells the truth?

Withano 09-09-2013 09:00 PM

I think Charlotte just wanted a new chance to steal the airtime. Though it is unfair if its true.

fingers 09-09-2013 09:02 PM

Aaww, poor Lauren was sick!!
so that's alright then!

Jack_ 09-09-2013 09:02 PM

Um...there is a voiceover that did say 'the housemates mistakenly believe that Lauren has seen her mum'...

This.

I don't think Lauren even knew what the argument was about either..

Pincho Paxton 09-09-2013 09:03 PM

She didn't see her mom.

They denied Rylan left the house last year too but when it was confimed by other housemates they had to admit it.

kistar 09-09-2013 09:06 PM

If she had not have seen her mother surely Lauren would have said 'hang on a minute I have not seen my mother!'

fingers 09-09-2013 09:06 PM

BB will only admit things if they can be proven to be lying!

rionablue 09-09-2013 09:06 PM

Charlotte was right.

kistar 09-09-2013 09:07 PM

None of the other housemates contested it so she must have seen her.

Me neither, though there was a point at which Vicky said 'Lauren got to see her mum and that's fine' (or something like that) and I noticed Lauren, looking confused, was about to pipe up to correct her...but Vicky and Charlotte were too busy talking over each other to listen

kistar 09-09-2013 09:08 PM

Honestly so very unfair. No wonder Charlotte was so upset.

She is not 6 years old you know , she is a grown woman , had it been wrong she would have said something.

Not strictly true, they didn't deny it...just never mentioned it :p then when it became apparent they addressed it during the Post Room segment on BOTS with Jamie and Emma and explained what had actually happened

If they have specifically said something didn't happen when it did, I'm pretty sure that could get them into some kind of (potentially legal?) trouble. If they don't mention it at all there's no issue, but if they deny something and they're lying, they're creating a bigger problem than if they were to just admit it

Jake. 09-09-2013 09:11 PM

Well said Jack

And...um...once again, she was about to pipe up (rewind the footage and you'll see), but they talked over her

Marcus clearly said 'they mistakenly believe', therefore meaning she hasn't seen her mum. I don't mind the odd conspiracy theory but if they've openly denied something I see no reason to distrust them because it would be more detrimental in the long run to lie than it would to just admit it...

Amy Jade 09-09-2013 09:11 PM

I still believe she saw her mother.

Jack_ 09-09-2013 09:16 PM

It's the same as the tabloids making up bullsh*t stories, they can get away with saying 'a source said that this series of Big Brother will have more sex dens and romp rooms than ever before', but if they were to say 'John Smith, the executive producer, has told us that there has been rigging of the votes in the past before' then they could get into serious legal trouble

You can't deny something if it's true in a situation like this because it'll cause more damage than it would to just admit it (what would they have to lose by admitting it anyway? there's so much outside contact nowadays that they hardly give a crap what the fans think of it anymore), if you don't mention it at all then people can speculate all they like but if you comment on it it sure as hell better be the truth or it'll come back to haunt them

They never once confirmed/denied sh*t in the freezer gate either, a few jokes were made on BOTS but that was it

fingers 09-09-2013 09:17 PM

Well well well, Marcus says just before a very controversial conversation that they MISTAKENLY believe something, so he is the fall guy if it turns out he's wrong?
