Best place to preorder games?

I've never done it before and since GTAV looks likely to be out of stock for the first few days in stores, I wanted to have a browse for somewhere reliable, fairly cheap (or RRP) and delivered on the day...

I know a few of you are experts when it comes to this

Shopto never let's you down and If they do them they give you £5 for being late.

EDIT: You have to order by the end of today if you want it be Day 1 I think.

Ramsay 13-09-2013 11:21 AM

Well if you're thinking of ordering online, Amazon are dispatching today and tomorrow so they might be your best bet..whenever i've pre ordered off them, 80% of the time it arrives day 1.

Shopto. GAME maybe, haven't used them for years. Amazon, now you can get free first class postage, will probably get it to you on release. Cheaper than at Shopto also.

Shaun 13-09-2013 11:24 AM

yeah I just went with Amazon LOL for this because Shopto are asking for £43 for GTA (and idk if that includes delivery) whereas Amazon was 35... (and free on-the-day delivery)

Yeah, Shopto's pricing has been pathetic for several months now. They use to beat everyone, now they're higher.

Whereas Amazon lowered their price for GTA 5, Shopto upped it by just under £3.

Why is it when i click preorder on amazon it says estimated delivery Sept 18th :suspect:

Tom4784 13-09-2013 12:48 PM

Look no further than Shopto, they always get pre-order bonuses and they are cheaper than most places AND they always deliver early. It's pretty much free next day delivery on normal purchases too. It's an excellent website.

Try online chat. I believe that changed somebody's PS4 pre order from January delivery to launch day in the US. So, it may help here.

Oddly, Tesco are always very good. The ones around me always have massive stockpiles of new releases when they launch so they never ever seem to be out of stock. It's weird because I'd think Tesco would be most people's first port of call when trying to grab a new game but whatever. :conf2:

You can plunk down £5 of the game's price too and have a copy reserved as well. That's what I'm doing for GTA V, the rest just has to be paid when you collect your copy.

Ramsay 13-09-2013 09:28 PM

Hilariously enough, i'm actually going to rely on tesco having GTA on tuesday..can't be arsed to pre order and even if i don't get it until later this month, i have Kingdom Hearts HD to get me by anyway..it's weird, i mean i'm excited for it but not as hyped for it as i thought i'd be..for a GTA game after all like
